I always say this when these vagabond backups are out there...the funniest guy on the team is the backup goalie for a reason...goalies that are worse than 60th (Eddie Lack) will still get jobs because they're fun to be around and the difference between 58th and 71st best isn't enough to be worth having a dicknose in the room...

Antonio Brown gets a job still because he's good enough to be worth the headache...Cam Newton is not at his position. It's a fairly straightforward concept...

Yeah, Cam's not wrong, he's just a douchenozzle in the way he presents his case.

He's not entirely incorrect. Because he is who he is, there would be a ton of talk about why Cam isn't playing if Mac Jones has a mediocre start with Cam as backup.
Yep. The Vax thing was a main factor too wasn't it?

Timmy from Dorchester would have a stroke, live on sports talk radio, if that happened.

Why does the NFL make it so hard for me to give them money to watch the 49ers when I'm out of market?

I don't want to deal with streams with ads that are not always great quality. I shouldn't have to use a VPN to say I'm in Brazil to sign up for gamepass just so I can pay them to watch live games and not replays...but here we are.

If you know any college kids who aren't football fans, you can get Sunday Ticket for $120. I used my kid's info. He'd rather watch paint dry.

Given the expansion of streaming in the years since the NFL last awarded thier OOM rights, I have a hard time believing they'll do another exclusive carrier agreement.

Also, we still get Sunday Ticket from using our apartment address in SF. It has auto-renewed for 5 straight seasons, including 2 changes of billing addresses.

They have to be missing out on a ton of subscribers with DirecTV. I can't imagine many potential cord cutters are sticking around so they can get Sunday Ticket.

I was pleasantly surprised that CBS NFL games are included with Paramount+ . $4.99/month for access to a 10/17 Steelers games is nice.

Justin Herbert is a freaking stud. WTAF #2 defense from last year couldn't even come close to stopping him today.

That Sunday ticket thing is finally open up for someone else other than DirecTv starting next year I think.

In any event I signed up for Gamepass after I spoofed my IP to Brazil via VPN so it would let me watch games live every week. 100$ for the whole year basically, and I already use a VPN service so that is a sunk cost. Watched the 49ers game today in HD with no issue and streamed it to my tv. Still shouldn't be this difficult for me to give them money.

Also I turned the 49er game off at 41-17 after Jason Verett tore his ACL.. and now I see its 41-33 with under a minute to go... they may just blow the game.

Bet Mr and Mrs. Snyder won’t even give them their money back.
