The Browns went from rebuilding to win now mode in one year

Twittershpere seems to have the complete opposite opinion.Beckham is not as good as Brown and he brings a TON of drama. This comparison only works if Beckham has the work ethic/personality of Fitz.I am of the opinion that we need to pump the brakes on assessing value. If AB melts down and Gruden murders him, I'll say the Steelers made out pretty okay.Holy ****. Steelers got ripped off for brown
Jabril Peppers has the chance to be a really good player in this league. This is a fantastic trade by the Giants.

So, he left $14.5m on the table for a contract that still isn't as lucrative as the one the Steelers offered him, making significantly less than his original ask. Well done, Bell. Now go blow out your knees.Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell plans to sign a four-year, $52.5 million contract with the New York Jets, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The deal includes $35 million guaranteed, with a maximum value of close to $61 million, including incentives, a source said.

Just to clarify, the Steelers' offer to Bell was:
- 5 years
- $70 mil
- $33 mil guaranteed
- $14 mil per season
So he pissed on $14.5 million last year and left possibly $20 million more on the table over the next five years to get $2 million more in guaranteed money over the next four. That's some multi-dimentional brain shitting going on there.

I'm actually shocked the Jets didn't pull a raiders and overpay significantly when the rest of the league wasn't willing to.
As for the OBJ vs Brown return, OBJ is 5 years younger, and didn't publically go nuts to kill his value.

I want to know what the national narrative of the Steelers don't want to "give players their money" will change too now that Bell's market deal was less than what the Steelers were offering.Just to clarify, the Steelers' offer to Bell was:

That is all we heard when Bell sat out.

I welcome the Browns replacing the Ravens as the top threat to the Steelers in the North. I miss that rivalry.Got to do it while Mayfield is still on his rookie deal. He is going to be a huge hit to the cap in 3 years. The Browns went from rebuilding to win now mode in one year

Yeah, the Steelers deserve some criticism for the things they have messed up, but at the same time, they got some smart people in the room that know the market and what to offer. Because a player is spewing stuff on social media because he is worth X amount doesn't make it true. That narrative won't change. /r/nfl goes up in arms anytime a team tags a player, calling it an unfair disgrace, blah blah blah. People are dumb.
Gurley's contract brought some of this, but at the same time, Gurley getting hurt and the Rams still being successful I think pumped the brakes on the "RBs are worth so much more" narrative.

mikey has arrived to tell us how Conner's numbers between the 5 and 15 yard line with 6 minutes or less remaining in games decided by 5 points or less in games in under 40 degree temps says otherwise
