The tough pill to swallow is that this win validates that whole season of talk radio you have been complaining about. The thought of living here over the next two weeks.... Wow.
Imagine how shitty being a Vikings fan must be.

Yeah, I mean it's a lose/lose, or maybe, at best, a tepid win/win:Hmm...this day could not have unfolded any worse really...
So in my head I have to weigh whether I want a Philadelphia sports team to win a championship or the disgusting New England Patriots to win another. The early returns are that the 400th title for the Pats doesn't move the needle more than getting Philly off the ground from 0 to 1...
So I guess I want the Pats to win...yargh...what a horrific scenario...
Eagles can keep the Pats from getting their 6th, the prospect of which bothers me because they cheated their way to the first couple.
The Pats can stay THE PATS and be regaled no more than usual and keep a Philly team from winning a championship. And if the Pats get their 6th, then I'll be fine as long as the Steelers beat them to 7.
I don't really care.
It's hockey season. Let's go, Pens--move yer arses and get in it to win it.

I'm taking the long view on this:
Pats win, and Brady and Palpatine retire and ride off into the sunset, and the Pats become irrelevant.
Philadelphia, in turn burns itself to the ground after the loss (of course sparing the many Philly residents that reside at FAF).
A long term win for everyone.

Don't underestimate the potential of Philadelphia burning itself to the ground after a win.I'm taking the long view on this:

The Vikings were the last of the intolerable champions here, so its perfect they followed up their 'miracle' by getting their s*** pushed in and crashing their fans into a mountain.
Because it only takes one of those fans to make you hate their team, and laugh when you know that fan is in agony. So f*** that guy and his vikings.

Skins - Theismann, Williams, Rypien

I am rooting for the Patriots, no doubt about it. I see they opened up as 5.5 or 6 point favorites, not that it amounts to a hill of beans.
My SIL and her husband (who is a rabid Eagles fan) were drunk texting the entire family all night last night after I went to bed. I lost count of the DILLY DILLYs. On another note, my wife's parents made plans to travel a few hours and come watch the Super Bowl at our house...no crazy party, just a nice laid back night hanging out together. Last night, my SIL said that she is petitioning the family to come watch the SB down there. Noooooooooope.
I know some of you are saying an Eagles SB win would be nice...but man, come on. Did you know that two weeks in a row, someone has been arrested at the Linc for assaulting a police horse? I mean, really.

Boston fans are atrocious, and if you wanted to construct a take that they are the worst in sports I would listen.I am rooting for the Patriots, no doubt about it. I see they opened up as 5.5 or 6 point favorites, not that it amounts to a hill of beans.

I have a bunch of in-laws in Boston. There's a healthy respect for the Steelers, and they did not feel comfortable with an AFCCG rematch. That said, I usually reference the relationship the Caps have to the Penguins, for how the Steelers match up with the Patriots.

But, if I were to hate Boston fans, it would be based on their dumb hockey perspectives.
