NFL made a statement today that Brown can't play without the approved helmet. So lets see if he actually quits.

I just wonder why everyone that was blaming Big Ben, Tomlin, and the Steelers for ABs craziness are not speaking up now.

I haven't watched it; but I did see an article where Gruden is portraying this as ABs injury being legitimate and not his fault, and the helmet issue is something the team has been supporting him on through the off season. I hope I'm wrong but my guess is the show won't have anything fun to say about it.

The one great season of Hard Knocks that keeps me coming back is the Miami one where Chad Johnson got axed. Fantastic TV and nothing has come close to it since.

I just hope the arbiter comes back mid week and says he has to wear the helmet. This is one of the things both the NFL and NFLPA are in agreement with.

AB has been saying he doesn't need football and will quit. Just want to see if he follows through (doubt it).

Episode 2 is tomorrow. Episode 1 just shows off how dumb AB is as a person...following him into a hot air balloon that he wants to fill with basketballs...it mentions (several times) that he won't slow down in his training, and he's setting himself back, despite many people telling him to just take it a little easier so that he can play one day. Then Gruden, ironically, says, "take his helmet..." because he's not listening...

The context behind this now makes that moment sooo rich.

It’s just like the NFL and the news cycle to make this an issue NOW. The NFL had to have put these helmets out during OTAs once the new league year started, didn’t they? Why is this issue just now bubbling to the surface?

I don't think the NFL is doing this. They had this agreement since 2017 I believe, they let players with uncertified helmets be grandfathered for 2018 knowing they had to make the change in 2019, and literally every single player has conformed to the rule except one.

And I guess it's been going on since OTAs. This is a Brown thing.

The Children's Hospital visit was a year ago this week. It's fun seeing my tweets in Timehop and most people I was responding to have deleted their AB slurping. Mainly Pittsburgh Dad Jr..

as a foil to this, james conner has dropped by several locations unannounced and without media presence to speak to cancer patients during their treatments and offering encouragement and support to the patients. pretty powerful to watch. also hes a tall dude. im 6'1 and he was at least 2 inches taller than me

Is there a reason he was specifically speaking to cancer patients?

I can confirm reports that QB Dak Prescott has, in fact, turned down 30M a year offer and is instead seeking 40M a year per source informed. #Cowboys
