Fun fact about The Replacements: Not sure about the football unis, but the cheerleader wardrobe has been repurposed dozens of times in other productions over the years; TV shows, other films, music videos, commercials.

If the cheerleader outfits came with Brooke Langton attached I’d buy a million of them.

Not to derail this, but I'm going to, in the 4 major sports, what other team names could be considered offensive and pushed to change? Redskins are the obvious.

If you had to grade 1-4: 1: Very offensive, change 2: Border line should be reviewed 3: Meh, probably not 4: Don't be a snowflake

NFL

Redskins - 1
Vikings - 4; they did rape and pillage though
Chiefs - 2; if you want to get rid Indian names, this would be considered, but I don't feel that offensive
Buccaneers - 4; they did rape and pillage

NBA
Kings - 4; rule over people like they "own" them

MLB
Indians - 2; same as chiefs
Brewers - 4; promotes alcohol
Pirates - 4; they did rape and pillage
Yankees - 3; disparaging name for northerners during civil war
Braves - 2; see Indians
Rangers - 3; killed all the Mexicans in Texas

NHL
Sabres - 4; a weapon to kill people
Devils - 4; promotes satan
Blackhawks - 2; see Braves
Kings - 4; See NBA kings

Scale of 5:
1-Redskins
2-Indians (Chief Wahoo was a problem, not sure if killing him was enough)
3-Chiefs (H. Roe Bartle's fascination with Indians is weird, but legend has it he was "inducted" into an Arapaho tribe so there's some basis for it)
4- Braves, Blackhawks

I'll never understand how Chiefs or Braves are problematic.

Yeah. Maybe the tomahawk chop but that's about it. As for the Indians - they'll just be the Tribe right? Hopefully there's nothing wrong with that

I agree. (Personally I don't think Indians are bad either, but to each their own).

Sportrac hasn't updated his page with the numbers yet, but how do you even calculate a cap hit on a K that big.

Also, the Devils as a name is not satanic. (It's like a weird chupacabra mythical-type creature that lives in the swamps of southern Jersey)

We need more satanic team names, if I’m being honest.

Show me their mascot and logo.

The name may have been inspired by Mrs. Leeds’ 13th child, but that’s about where the connection ends.

I mean, sure. But we're talking about the name, not the marketing.

So apparently DeSean Jackson went on a diatribe against Jews and said Hitler was right, and has been promoting Farrakhan. WTF? TIL he is one of those Black Hebrew Israelite nut jobs.

Ohhh, I’m liking that one. We can have them play the Baltimore Bophomet in week 1.
