Trump this morning on fox and friends
“You have to stand proudly for the national anthem or you shouldn’t be playing. You shouldn’t be there. Maybe you shouldn’t be in the country.”

I for one wouldn’t want my business attacked by the president.

Trump, an unstable petulant assclown, is using his platform as the most powerful politician in the country to manufacture conflicts with domestic businesses. His pathetic posturing forces these businesses to scurry off with their tale between their legs to sustain and give assclown something to cheer about on Fox and Friends.
I have no issue with the league capitulating.

I suppose that's fair, but I feel like the small segment of the population that will stop watching football because of the anthem protests is not going to be enlarged that much by Trump's constant blasting of the players on FNC or elsewhere. I also totally get that the last thing any business owner wants is to wage war with the POTUS.

I think it has less to do with viewership, than sponsorship.
The league doesn't want to be in a position where corporations may choose to cancel relationships with the league to curry favor with President assclown.

If the networks didn't spend the anthem coverage desperately hunting up and down the sidelines for kneelers it might not be an issue at all.

I watched a 2 minute video yesterday about a former/current person in the military being the one that gave Kaep the idea to kneel instead of sit during the anthem. Makes it comical that all the people saying he's disrespecting the flag, armed forces, and Murica are disagreeing with the people they think they are standing behind.

Don't look for logic in this. People that are offended aren't looking for reasoning other than disrespecting America.I watched a 2 minute video yesterday about a former/current person in the military being the one that gave Kaep the idea to kneel instead of sit during the anthem. I always thought the idea that veterans fought, some injured or killed, for the right to come home and demand that some millionaires stand for the flag before playing a childs game was a bit petulant.
What bugs me about listening to this on Madden or reading on reddit is that these are private employees on private property. It's a labor relations issue, not a First Amendment issue. The 1A isn't a blank check allowing you to say whatever you want wherever you want without repercussions; it protects you from the government suppressing speech. I'd say that almost every commentator or caller ignores that fundamental fact and goes straight to "Oh, I'm sorry...thought this was America."

Well now that players aren't allowed to kneel when does Kaep get a job?

And where's the libertarian outrage at the President for telling a business how to manage their employees?I always thought the idea that veterans fought, some injured or killed, for the right to come home and demand that some millionaires stand for the flag before playing a childs game was a bit petulant.

The NFL is weak for caving to him. Unless I missed something Trump has only had Twitter tantrums about it; has he proposed any actual executive action against the NFL (such as with the Amazon/UPS thing)? 30+ old white billionaires shaking in their boots over a manchild.
Anyway, to answer your question, it's the second post on this page...

Trump has shown he's willing to call companies out and cost them real dollars in the stock market.

Sort of to the point I made earlier. He doesn't have to actually do anything. He's manufactured a conflict and through that, can manipulate other stakeholders. Lots of big corporations have business in front of the executive, and that could influence their partnerships with the NFL if the NFL is in a battle with the POTUS.
