Francis is a Whaler.
While I do agree, I think this is probably the closest example I can think of that satisfies the MimH test for the Pens.

He played over 600 games for PIT, won 2 Cups, and scored one of the Cup-winning goals. If he had started in PIT and got traded somewhere else after amassing that resume, I think he'd be remembered as a Pen for the duration of his career. It's hard to think of that as a short-timer, but that's about as close as I can get.

Of course, a big part of why we think of Ronnie as a Whaler/Cane is because he went back to the team and finished his career there, and became a front office guy there as well. So there's a much deeper connection.
Is Pronger a,

Whaler
Blue
Oiler
Duck
Flyer

By resume he’s a Duck, for me he’s forever a Blue.
I think Whalers as I remember his first game against the Pens and Lange was talking about how good he was going to be.

Here’s one I’m actually torn on,

Scott Niedermayer

My knee jerk was Devil but damn if he didn’t make a HUGE impact on those Ducks teams.

It’s very close but for me he transitioned to being a Duck on those cup runs. Grizzled vet Nieds is best needs IMO.

Niedermayer is still the smoothest skating defenseman I have ever seen play. He was just so damn good.

The original prompt actually had that in there and then I thought it was against the spirit of the game a bit maybe...and only some toady would pick his college team anyhow...and man, you hit it out of the park again...

I remember Tom Brady as a Wolverine too...watching that baseball pitcher play quarterback...

lol I was kidding, I don't care about college sports that much. For Jackson I probably take the Royals honestly. For some reason that's more burned into my mind than the Raiders.

it might be the first drink he's had in a year. his diet probably doesn't allow for alcohol. and there you have Florida Man 2.0

Yeah, TB is completely alcohol-free starting with camp. Maybe even OTAs in a normal year.

Unfortunately, I don't take payment in sneezes.

I don’t know what I did but I won’t be bullied. I’ll go start my own message board with blackjack and hookers.

I suffer from MiMH bias there. I got to KC right at the peak of Bo running up walls, hitting balls over the fountains, breaking bats over his head, and throwing frozen ropes from the track to the plate. So he's a Royal to me.
