Falcons are more Browns than the Browns this year.

so I thought I'd be pulling into first with Rodgers starting tonight.
Turns out the guy above me as Jones and Tonyan starting, so I've literally gained nothing tonight. I may even finish the night further back.

the mental gymnastics the nfl is going through with this is really baffling to examine from the outside without understanding their 'algorithm' or 'planning' that occurred when there are infected playersI don’t really understand how Cam can test positive on Sunday and the game is only delayed one day.

i understand that. in theory, he is around his teammates, unmasked, for extended periods of time. symptoms can develop anyone 2 - 14 days post exposure with transmission possible in the pre-symptomatic period up to 48 hours prior to onset of initial symptoms. delaying a day does nothing except delay the potential exposure. one could argue it would probably be worse because youve had an extra incubation day since rapid onset of symptoms is unlikely.

Pats Stephen Gilmore tests positive. Good thing that game was postponed by a whole two days.
Titans also coming in with two more positives. The Steelers schedule should get **** and the Titans should have to retroactively forfeit.

It takes a while from exposure to positive test. That's why I was surprised the game was only delayed a day. I always use this example, but when Djokovic hosted his COVID-spreading tennis tournament, it was nearly a week before his coach tested positive (after two negatives in the days leading up). A one day delay just isn't good enough.

I'm not so sure. I think it'll be like MLB. They'll just ignore it and keep trucking through. There won't be any pushback from fans at this point, so no PR issues to worry about.

By the way, this is a very bad idea.
Bad for a few reasons: Precedent was already set with the Steelers/Titans game. The league bent over backwards to ensure the Pats wouldn't have to postpone/forfeit even going so far as having a separate COVID-only plane full of people who had exposure to Cam. And finally, if a forfeit becomes the norm for a team with a positive case, you can bet your ass teams will try to hide it.

Bolded for emphasis. No forfeits should be allowed.By the way, this is a very bad idea.

It's going to happen. Same with MLB. Everyone was flipping out that it was a disaster when the Marlins outbreak occurred and now we are in the LDS.Does that mean the Chiefs have to quarantine now? Or nah?
This season is unraveling.
Same with college fb each week.
We'll see what happens, but the key is to keep it under control.
NFL
Not even for repeat teams? Why are only a small number of teams dealing with this?
Sounds like they want to have their strip club chicken wings and eat them too.

Seems like CFB is struggling as well but less people care for some reason. It's going to happen. Same with MLB. Everyone was flipping out that it was a disaster when the Marlins outbreak occurred and now we are in the LDS.Does that mean the Chiefs have to quarantine now? Or nah?

I agree that the NFL will push on and the season will be completed in some way. The money is too great.
