Mikey, you are arguing all these silly hypotheticals that did not happen. What if Garappolo had hit Sanders in stride? What if Mahomes hadn't found his center in the 4th? What if the coin toss went differently? What if.....? It doesn't matter. The known fact at the time of that final TD run was the Chiefs did not need those points to win, and a simple first down would've been enough for them to clock it out.

tif, the NFL bad take guru, is seeing the season all the way through. Good effort, good game.

Dangerous precedent to set. When Terrelle Pryor ran that QB draw for 93 yards against the Steelers some years ago, he's untouched...he just took the ball and ran down the middle of the field and no one got within 10 feet of him...should that be discounted...? The Steelers sold out to stop a RB run and missed...He doesn't get touched, he doesn't do anything special on that play.Great. So the carry was significant, in that, it clinched a Super Bowl victory. Tough to imagine that could be considered "garbage time" under any circumstance...I'm not trying to be difficult, but this is a bananaland take by yous...I get the circumstance, I get that the 49ers sold out to stop the run........and then Kansas City ran it.......and Damien Williams got past all those guys that sold out to stop him......and sealed the deal.I'd say the first 6 yards are a big deal
If he gets stopped, if he turns it over, if he botches that play in some way, he's potentially the goat of the game...
This isn't a first down in a 37-20 game with 1:54 left...it was a TD in a 24-20 game. Crazy that anyone could equate that to a kneel down...

He got that first down. You admitting the need for the 1st down renders the notion of it being in garbage time invalid...Mikey, you are arguing all these silly hypotheticals that did not happen. Ok, we're not going to agree on garbage time...
How about it was a selfish play and he should have given himself up. I remember watching a game where Illinois went into the Big House in a similar situation and scored instead of going down. Michigan went 80 yards in thirtysome seconds and then recovered the onside kick with ~15 seconds to play. They almost squandered it.
And this is just in fun. We agree on some level that he deserved some consideration. I wonder if there's any chance that immediately after the Chiefs getting that stop people started turning in ballots figuring it was a done deal.

That and stealing Fritz Crisler's playbook might have been the biggest smiles on my face.
Apparently in order to end a 50-year championship drought, the Chiefs had to pull off the double feat of recalling more than 70 years of history and making Michigan football relevant in a major bowl game.

I said it last night, and maybe it's cause I'm older now, but I was over it like 10 minutes after the game ended. I'm that way with the Pens too. I don't let it effect my day to day life anymore.Might need to check in on a buddy that's a 9ers fan. Haven't heard from him since the collapse

I've just learned to let it go. Sports don't rule my life like they did in my 20's. Everyone is different though.I do. When we lost to the god damn Caps last year, I did not have a good week.

Really can’t blame them. The Jaguars are moving a second home game in 2020 overseas to London's Wembley Stadium in an attempt to increase their local revenue and escape the bottom quartile of the league in that category.
With the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders moving into new stadiums for the 2020 season, the Jaguars felt an additional home game in London -- which generates twice the money of a home game at TIAA Bank Field -- was the best way to offset the boost those teams will be receiving from those relocations and stabilize the long-term future of the franchise.
The Jaguars are spearheading a proposed $700 million entertainment district development around the stadium that would result in additional revenue, but until that happens Jaguars president Mark Lamping said adding another home game in London is the right action for the team to take.

Local news already confirmed the Steelers game against the jags is in Florida and not London.

Sounds like they’re using it for leverage to get the entertainment district built. Wonder if they want the city to pay for any of it.
