I was going to post that when this discussion started yesterday and reconsidered. Figured I'd be laughed off the board.I just realized something:All time leader in pass attempts per game...gotta break a few eggs to make an omelet haha
He's Dan Marino.

Luck sucks
NFL
Not stylistically. Marino had a better arm, Luck's quicker than a sloth, but both teams look like they're going to fail to put anything resembling a supporting cast around them anywhere near their prime and will be content to ride to a Championship title game or two on the strength of the QB's arm and willpower and nothing more. Not stylistically, right? Just in terms of what he had to work with?
Marino had the Marx Brothers and what else...? Anything?

That's been the case up to 2017. I do have some hope in this team management/coaching group though...too early to say for sure...but the offensive line is so much better now...Mack isn't untalented, Hines can be a real good receiving back who can even split out wide...we're weak at WR beyond Hilton, but WRs are the garnish, not the meal...and the defense is getting up off the map...veteran Justin Houston and young Turay (RU), Darius Leonard is filth.com (though we're brutal at LB besides him), Malik Hooker in the secondary...those are really strong building blocks I think...
So I have more hope than I've had in the Luck era...but potential energy is just that, until it becomes kinetic, of course...
Plus, we play in a donkey squad division...getting to the playoffs is the battle, the NFL playoffs don't have much value compared to other sports...so that's a big advantage...

The Colts had sort of a lightning-in-a-bottle situation when Luck was available. He was - by a significant measure - the best QB prospect in years, and their long-time franchise QB was trailing off due to injury and age at a time when they were uniquely awful on the field and earned 1st overall. (Don't forget, Luck also went back to Stanford for an additional year after he was draft-eligible; the Colts would not have been in a position to take him in 2011)
Teams generally don't get to go from one generational talent at QB directly to another. (Insert obligatory Bubby Brister reference in honor of dodint's jersey) The 49ers went from Montana to Young, the Packers went from Favre to Rogers, I guess you'd include Stabler to Plunkett for the Raiders..... and I'm having a hard time thinking of another example aside from Manning to Luck.

Tebow to Manning? /s
But, to your point, Stabler to Plunkett - particularly the latter part - is a real stretch...I think you'd be better off at Bledsoe to Brady than that one to be honest...

In the same sense that we don't include Bradshaw-to-Malone because Cliff Stoudt?

Raiders receiver Antonio Brown will eventually know his way around the legal system, whether he wants to or not.
Brown, according to ESPN, has been sued for nearly $40,000 by a chef who claims that Brown failed to pay a Pro Bowl-week bill
Stefano Tedeschi, who calls himself “The Sports Chef,” has filed suit against Brown in Florida for a $38,521.20.
Tedeschi alleges that Brown rented an Orlando-area mansion and then hired Tedeschi to provide cooking services over multiple days, including parties at the mansion.
