Larger TV viewership.Last night, I saw that Heinz commercial about making the Monday after the Superb Owl a national holiday. My only thought was 'why don't they just move the freaking game to Saturday and be done with it?'
NFL
Would be pretty easy if they killed two preseason games. Which would be made easy if they were allowed to invite 20 fewer people to camp. They should shift the season so that it's played the day before MLK Day.
So much bloat.

Just bump the game a little bit...instead of 10 hours of pre-game, just 8 hours...play the game at 4 pm Eastern, which is when you put on the "game of the week" and where you flex more important afternoon games to anyhow...instead of a 6:30 start and 10:15 pm finish, you go from 4 pm to 7:30 or whatever...then you don't need a holiday based on a sport that will be neutered beyond recognition in the next decade...

I remember calling for that last year. I'm pretty skeptical on the idea that it would decrease viewership. It is such a massive, cultural event that I highly doubt more people would decide not to watch the game at home because they'd rather be going out or something (or just because it's Saturday night). The bars are absolutely packed on Super Bowl Sunday as it is.Last night, I saw that Heinz commercial about making the Monday after the Superb Owl a national holiday. I would tend to agree that the Superb Owl would draw a **** ton of viewers on pretty much any day or time.

More value than anything Kiper or his minions will say all year:

If he made it to year 4 I would be shocked.

Was Kiper commenting on whom they should have picked or whom he thought they would pick? Those are clearly two different things.More value than anything Kiper or his minions will say all year:

Either way, I check out after about 5 minutes of draft talk...

Nothing against Shanahan but how many coaches make it 6 years anymore? Tomlin, Belichick, Lewis (lol), McCarthy, Garrett? It sounds like Kyle Shanahan will be the 49ers coach. $10 says he doesn't make it through the discussed 6 year deal.

I started typing a reply explaining why both of those possible scenarios still makes Kiper look like a buffoon but then it's the **** draft and I don't care so I deleted it and wrote 'dumb'.Dumb.Was Kiper commenting on whom they should have picked or whom he thought they would pick? Bill Belichick
Marvin Lewis
Mike McCarthy
Sean Payton
Mike Tomlin
John Harbaugh
Pete Carroll
Jason Garrett
Of those, only Lewis (again, lol) and Garrett have not won or even been to a superb owl.

Like most people that attempt these lists, they are ripe with pretty thoughtless inconsistency...
How does one justify Elway that high, and Elway was my favorite before Manning...
Just a ton of talk in each blurb about team championships, which is funny on the biggest rosters in professional sports...when Brady, as a direct result of them not just handing the ball to Marshawn Lynch, he was somehow a better player...?
Doesn't make sense. Super Bowls should count, winning should count...but with such a heavy degree of weight put on that, where is Troy Aikman...?
Took Otto Graham (good) but without Sammy Baugh (weird)...took Aaron Rodgers (eh, ok) but not Drew Brees (weird)...
I will give him some credit for actually having the courage to put a non-factor QB like Terry Bradshaw in the top 10 (is there any real case for him to be top 30? 40? 50?) to justify the ridiculous weight he puts on championship game wins...left out Troy Aikman...no Sid Luckman...
Just tough to justify those things on the surface...
Seems like the type of list that would take Henri Richard over Mario Lemieux...

Thought about Harbaugh and Carroll but figured it hasn't been 6 years yet.
