mimh out here acting like it's easy to go on a 10 minute drive - if you can do that then you deserve a better chance to win. imo

Wait...why is the sample only drives that ended in a TD?

because my point that a drive that ends in a TD and lasts over 7:31 is disadvantageous to the second team. It happening once is enough for me to be against the rule in theory

I could pull all drives but at this point I think we're gonna have to agree to disagree

That's an insane way to look at the data haha

I mean, you win two-thirds of the time when you score first in the regular season...maybe both teams should get to start with the ball?

I don't even disagree with you on this, but your method of trying to back your point is unreal...

all I am trying to show is that 8+ minute drives happen outside of extreme outliers. 71 instances is enough data points to say that at some point, a team would get screwed if they ended up changing the rules to "a full period"

also, I think you're not seeing how complex the data analysis would be for this. Looking at all drives would include all teams, even the shitty ones who are more likely to have non-TD drives (playoff teams are much more likely to score TDs than non-playoff teams) so I don't think we'd get any more information if we looked across all drives for all teams. Also, like I said, if the rule was a full period, teams would be more incentivized to play it slower with the intention of eating clock rather than taking deep shots or scoring quickly. The scenarios for we're discussing are so different than the data could allow for

we can manipulate this discussion either way for how we want to support our points lol

So 86% of TD drives are 7 minutes or less (not even all drives just TDs), on the off chance someone has one of these drives.. what are the percentages the next drive is 7 minutes too? This is crazy. They might have to run their hurry up offense and score in only 6 and a half minutes 2.3% of the time

The current playoff OT rules are perfect.

also I would like to say how much I appreciated the reffing the entire playoffs. I’d say it was virtually perfect which is relieving considering how shaky they weee in the regular season and last playoffs

I would prefer to get the ball second in that scenario. Let the other team face my best defensive scheme AND handicap their offense if they're going to try to burn clock instead of maximize their play selection.

I think it's easier to score a TD with 3:30 left and 4 downs and the other team in prevent than to score one with a long dominating opening drive with only 3 downs.

The major advantage to getting the ball first is you can score a td in 5+ minutes then if the other team evens the score you still get the ball back and can win or force a second OT. So scoring quickly is useful.

Shots fired inside near Union Station at the culmination of the parade and celebration.

Sounds like in the parking garage next door. Early reports two armed suspects in custody, they were performing CPR on 2 people

If I'm Kelce I come back only to win a super bowl. He's a lock for the HoF and nothing left to prove.

If I were him, I would come back to play with my brother and go for a 3-peat. No idea what KC's status is for C, but I'd make it worth it to play again when there is nothing else left to give. Unless he thinks Eagles have a shot - but I don't.

Plus I'm pretty sure Kelce brothers teaming up would be a story line a lot of people would be sick of so it's a win that way as well.

Creed Humphrey, they don't need Kelce.

Creed played guard the last week of the season despite never playing it before. And he needs to stop rolling snaps.

But Jason's not going anywhere. He's anchored to Philly and the Jersey Shore. My Philly connections say he's very content as just another Dad in the neighborhood.

Sure, that's all true - but he was designated as an All-Rookie / All-Pro (second-team). They're not going to just simply stop having him play center so they can get an older Kelce to take his spot. Dude is 24, there's no logical reason to do it.

No disagreement with that, Creed's performance has been overall excellent. Just noting there's a path that would allow it, but I can't see either party pursuing it.

Proof that performance enhancers don’t work.
