punting from the Chiefs’ 40 yard line on a fourth and five feels like a dumb decision. Mahomes is more likely to break away from this slog than Goff

argh bad penalty. He has a good position; there was no reason to make contact and push him

I am fine with that call. Goff’s gotta make a better attempt there but I don’t think punting it would’ve changed much

Chiefs only need a FG and have plenty of time

Even if Chiefs pull this out of their ass, The Lions served notice tonight. Good for them.

Lions gonna win this.

Chiefs need Kelce. They have a bunch of no 2 and no 3 receivers. Mahomes can't do it all ...all the time.

Also Toney dropped 3 balls that one on the last drive gets them in fg range.

Good game to start the season.

And always nice to see the NFC beat the AFC outside of the Steelers.

Toney bounces a well thrown ball into a pick six and he whiffs on the one during the last drive that would have still won them the game with a FG.
A lot of dropped balls tonight, a lot of poor play calling down the stretch by Reid, missing the best DT and TE in the league and still almost got the win.
Glad I picked the Lions on the Pick’em so it wasn’t a total loss.

Toney is an enigma. Dude is so physically gifted but here’s a reason why the Giants banished him

Lions and the under, early SGP win this year. Also sold a point to get Lions +3. I strongly considered Mahomes u2.5 TD passes and the under for Skyy Moore receiving yards (as it had crept up), but thought that was a little overkill...good news is this boost of confidence will cause me to lose twice as much money on Sunday...

That last one he dropped where he was open and have like. 6+ yards separation. OOF.

Right, Kelce's absence was much greater than Jones's. The Lions were supposed to have an explosive offense that was going to turn this into a track meet and instead they were held to 14 points.

The Achilles heel to the team was always the WR room, and not having the #1 TE/WR hybrid in the league just made that even more glaring. Mahomes kept buying time and nobody could find a way to get open much of the first half.

We were talking about how Kelce's early success was because he was athletic, not because he knew what he was doing. He's only become prolific after years of mastering route running technique. I think the youth in WR room is at that same point. Toney just needed to spend a day with a Juggs machine.

Ugh, Mike Tirico saying that the Lions win "has an asterisk" and then named a TE and an edge rusher or whatever that Kansas City is missing is pure ****** grade school garbage...I hope his T-cell count mysteriously falls through the floor tonight...
