One, this is a year old. Some of the comments about the suitability of temporary spaces might not apply any longer, or should at least be asterisked.
Two, there is not an awful lot of on-field excellence to be found from the top half of that list.
Three, ARI lol
That said, some of the locker room comments are hilarious to me. LA Rams and Chargers both say they don't feel they have enough space and/or privacy.......... wtf, it's a locker room, dingus, not a spa; it's supposed to be a big open room of thousands of square feet. I'm not sure if the survey includes stadium facilities, but we just did a tour of SoFi a couple weekends ago and the team locker rooms there are gigantic, and each individual locker is like 4' wide.

I have been a long time opponent of having female "recruiting" staffers hanging around the football team. They are usually attractive sorority girls, hanging around testosterone-driven men, many of whom are bad hombres. It's a recipe for disaster and bad judgment.ah my bad, I thought I had previously read that he was driving while intoxicated but that article says the police don’t believe he was drinking
The staffer driving the car that crashed was the one (as far as we know) drinking (.197 BAC according to reports)
There are a thousand lawyers hoping they get that civil suit.

Daycare OR a family room, while being an odd thing for a million to complain about is extremely surprising that they don't provide it because most of the league does. Simple and comparatively inexpensive thing to have available for your players and their families on gameday. The Steelers got a D- on family treatment because the organization doesn’t offer daycare on game days. Those poor millionaires needing to find child care one day a week.
Beyond that, this survey scores the Steelers as one would come to expect at this point. They're **** cheap. No gameday daycare or family room. Weight room is outdated and understaffed. Not enough ATCs. Not enough PTs. One of six teams that doesn't have a sauna in their facilities. Locker room outdated and not enough space. Lack of resources and investment into the facility and "Only 44% of players who responded feel like Steelers owner Art Rooney II is willing to invest money into upgrading their facilities, ranking him tied for 29th in this category". None of that is going to help attract free agents.

This is a smart move from the NFLPA. There has been a lot of coverage about the survey, fans and media are talking about it. No doubt teams will look at it and try to improve based on this feedback. Not because they truly care for their players, but because of how public this is and for some reason fans are latching onto it.
However, I don't believe that the Steelers will have trouble attracting free agents because they don't have a sauna or there's no day care center. When it comes to attracting players, money is what talks. Well, money and a stable organization with a desire to win. Okay mostly money.

I am interested to see how the free agent aspect of things plays out as this information becomes more public and readily available. I think everyone already knew that playing for the Commies sucked and was a terrible career choice unless they significantly overpay you. I also think any veteran free agent who has played in Pittsburgh knows that Not Heinz Field is 20+ years old and is a bit outdated at this point. Finer points like family treatment, weight room, etc. is still largely reserved for those who are Steelers.
Regardless, the Moneyball scenario of David Justice showing up to the A's and finding out he needs cash for the vending machine has now been removed. Anybody who gives a **** now knows if you're going to the Arizona Cardinals your meals aren't free. I imagine 99.9% of guys are still going to the highest bidder regardless if some of their extra cash is going to care.com on game day, but this should definitely help drive change in any franchise that gives a ****.

Maybe some of the Steelers were quiet quitting last season as a sort of protest towards outdated, state-of-the-art equipment. And no sauna

This isn't college, you're not trying to impress teenagers and their parents that you will be looked after and coddled like a rockstar. If your choices here are Las Vegas and, say, Kansas City, and you choose Vegas because they have a nicer building........ you suck. That's why I noted that the top half of that list is, with only a few exceptions, kind of stack ranking bad football teams; nice facilities is all they've got to offer.

Steelers might be able to get him at 32 with those measurements.

Steelers have more pressing needs for their first 2 picks than WR.

That’s how Trubisky and soon Richardson become higher-than-they-should-be picks. Did you not watch their games? But hey, they can crush it in the shuttle run and broad jump real far. That stuff will get ya a blue ribbon at 5th grade field day.Yeah I have friends that get way into it. I hate it. Everyone forgets about actual games that just happened. I think they have to get a wr early for pickett.Steelers have more pressing needs for their first 2 picks than WR.
There are probably on what 4 positions that should be off the table for rounds 1-3?
QB, TE, OLB, RB
The line improved, so I think only if one of the tackles fall do you bother with that. Not sure why, but seems like folks are just assuming they draft CB, I wonder if that’s just cause of the Joey porter thing.
I think MLB is the top need, then CB and WR, sure, but I’d rather get a stud DT over those two spots.
I think they’re fine with grabbing a wide out in the mid rounds. It’s the only position I trust them being able to get someone useful later on in the draft

I'd hope they take a CB, ILB, DL, or OL before a WR.
