If this team gets sold, the minute the deal closes, I am chugging a bottle of champagne, watching all three championship DVDs, and streaking around the neighborhood in just my London Fletcher jersey.

He didn't sell Babe Ruth to the Cowboys or something, but then he's never had a Babe Ruth.Snyder's not just the bottom of the barrel of the current crop, he makes the short list of worst all-time across all pro sports in this country imo

Snyder is the worst owner in all of sports right now. Bad product and immoral organization. It’ll be very hard to be worse than him
it’s sad to think about what the Washington Football Team used to be and how he ranked their popularity in DC
it’ll never happen but I hope the new owner changes their name back to the WFT. Commies is so bad. So so so so bad

They brought up an interesting hypo on McAfee today: What if he just sells a minority stake? Raises like $1.5bn in cash and remains the franchise's Governor. I don't know who would invest a ten-figure sun of money to not call the shots, but it was a funny way to ponder the depths of DS's dickishness.

That was talked about on PTI yesterday. Sell a portion of the team to a black woman for PR purposes but still retain at least 51%.

the Geno Smith thing feels like a joke that I’m awaiting the punchline for
week 1 he was good in the first half but bad the second half (unfortunately, Russ was worse). But since then he’s been very good still. I wonder if he’s actually a much improved player than he was in his Jets days or if Carrol is just getting the absolute best out of him and the clock is gonna strike midnight at some point

It's gonna strike midnight sooner than later.

Aa 20 point QBR jump from his time as the starter last season in roughly the same sample size. Clock's ticking on his regression.
But after seeing Russ struggle in Denver, maybe it does tell us a bit more about Pete Carrol?

I remember having his 1986 Topps football card
NFL
Ray Guy yesterday and now Dave Butz today.
It sucks to see names you definitely remember watching and seeing on football cards as a kid start passing on. These two were already seasoned vets when I started watching the NFL in 1983, but in a way it doesn't seem like it was all that long ago.

I blame Dan Snyder. Butz probably died of a broken heart.

Dave Butz, legendary member of the Hogs. Sad day after yesterday’s high, which I’ll believe the rug won’t bee pulled out from under when the ink is dry and Dan’s stuff is moved out of Commanders Park or whatever it is now.
