despite how shitty refs have been this season I’m glad they got that call right. It’s not something I had thought about before but it does make sense that that’s how it’s ruled

if you’re going to rule that hat should be a first down then at what point does a penalty, that occurred after the play has finished, still allow the offense to retain possession
