I don't know what the paper towel debate thread is, but that **** is childish and not worthy of debate

Also because you said no, I am more comfortable that my yes vote is the correct choice

sandwiches are not served on buns. and yes - this makes a pulled pork sandwich not a sandwich...but it is still called as such.

A sandwich is delivered with two distinct and separate food items. A hot dog bun is one item; therefore, not a sandwich.

So if I take lunch meat -- say turkey -- some lettuce, tomato, and mayo and put it on bun its not a sandwich even then? This is crazy talk.

What the hell is this...? I've never heard anyone mistakenly refer to a hot dog as a sandwich before...

Lock this up, this poll is a landslide victory...

there's no accounting for a deranged outlier using a bun as a vessel for lunch meat. might as well posit a scenario where someone puts skittles and M&M's on a potato roll

Then we have to define BREAD. That'll get messy.

"Hi, yeah... can I get a hot dog sandwich?"

This sounds insane and thus the answer is no.

So if I buy a deli bun that you can tear open to add your meats and cheese to it, but the bread never actually separates, its not a sandwich? But if the bread separates, it is a sandwich?

The dictionary is the last refuge of the simpleton by the way.

A bun has two halves - top and a bottom. A bread sandwich has two halves - a top and a bottom. A hot dog bun is all one item.
So if I have a bun that is separated -- sandwich.

Not separated -- no sandwich.

Accurate? Or are you of the bun never equals sandwich shemnguin school?
