I played Battletoads last night for a bit. The turbo tunnel is still the stuff of nightmares. I used to have it damn near memorized and still could barely get through it...these days my memory and my reflexes are not nearly as good.

I think I broke out the PS1 a couple years ago for nostalgia purposes. I really enjoyed Gran Turismo back in the day but was never good enough to actually progress in the games. The graphics may not be impeccable, but there's something about the game that makes it feel like it still stands up, relatively, to current racers.

Yeah maybe PS1. I had a fun X Games game I played for a lot of time as a 10 year old or what. Crash Bandicoot too

Trying to think of what is currently at my parents' house...

NES
Sega Genesis (back-story: 2/3 year old me said I wanted Sega as a reward for completing potty training, and when my parents agreed to the terms, I had a perfect record... I wish I had that same negotiating confidence now lol)
PS1
Gameboy Color
PS2
Xbox
Gameboy Advance
GameCube
Wii
Xbox 360
Xbox One
Xbox Series X
Wii was the console that I was missing. :face:

Oh, same. I have a Wii and a pile of oversized useless controller attachments.

Back when games weren't meant to be beaten so you'd just keep playing them.

Games were so much shorter in those days that they had to make them super hard so you didn't beat them in an hour or two haha.

I have: Atari 2600, NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, 3DS, Genesis, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox Series X. I also have those mini NES, SNES, and Genesis systems which are fun too but nothing beats the feeling of the originals.

I’ve played games from my youth on at least 10 different platforms from mame on the pc to a rpi I built. My biggest nostalgia comes from playing the old arcade games. Original NES games are in Atari 2600 territory imo.

Today was a good day in Halo. Finally got out of my rut and moved up to Gold 5, and got my first overkill, in my favorite way possible:

Wow indeed. There are going to be a lot of Xbox exclusives in the future.

That was rumored a few months ago on the XSX sub.

I'm an Xbox guy and this is bad news for the industry unless Microsoft doesn't go the exclusive route on the big titles like COD and only uses it to push Game Pass.

Speaking of video game consoles, it looks like Troy Polamalu's Twitter was hacked over the weekend as the account is hawking PS5's at retail for charity. I had another reporter I follow on Twitter with the same pictures and text about selling PS5s. Reported both early yesterday, but his was still spouting out nonsense this morning.

If titles like MLB The Show are available on XBox I have faith that Activision will continue to release cross-platform.

MLB forced the Show to be cross-platform. Sony didn't want that. And based on what Microsoft did with their Bethesda, it wouldn't surprise me to see some level of exclusivity, even if only timed. They didn't spend $70 billion to give Sony more money.

Spending $70b and then cutting off half the revenue stream would be an improbable business decision.
