Don't do that to me, skull. I've been waiting for this game for literally a decade.
There was also talk on the Xbox subreddit that it's coming out for PC first and it's looking like fall 2020. So users there aren't expecting it to show up on Xbox until early 2021. Keep in mind this is info from Reddit users with absolutely zero knowledge of the official release.

Yeah until there's word from Microsoft this is just the wild speculation of fanboys.

Man, I thought I scored when I found my old Thrustmaster flight stick in the basement, but it's the PC/PS3 version.

If it's PC, it may work on Xbox. Worth a shot. I know Xbox has support for any keyboard/mouse. Doesn't have to be an Xbox specific version.

Yeah, I'm reading reviews now that say they use it on their Xbox One. I can grab Elite Dangerous for $20, so I might just give it a go.

Elite has a good community that has guides for just about everything....it takes place in 3305 and the bubble of human expansion is around 400 light years across...viewing it in the galaxy map gives scale about how small that really is.

No go on the flight controller. I set an alert for a price drop on the Thrustmaster made for Xbox and will grab it when it comes down.

Is there a way to turn on a turn signal and just leave it on?

What is the best single player game yinz have played that's available on Xbone? Preferably sandbox style. I need something new to play while my wife does work stuff in the evenings now that I finished Far Cry 5. If you name a game from the past 5 years or so that is sandbox style and isn't assassins creed, far cry, or GTA, I probably haven't played it.
Witcher 3?
:thumb:
I know this is going to sound dumb, and I"m okay with that. Do I need to play 1 and 2 in order to understand 3, or is it a stand alone story line?
1 and 2 obviously provide more backstory on the characters; that said, I did not play 1 and 2 first and I greatly enjoyed 3. There are hints to what has happened in the previous games, but it's a pretty standalone story.
I started with 3... Currently playing thru it now. If you're interested, youtube has a bunch of videos that recap the events of 1 and 2. Like so....

My initial impression of Elite Dangerous is that I hate it. Gonna keep plugging away to see if it gets better, but it’s pretty complicated to figure out if you don’t want to spend time reading manuals and ****. Took me forever to even figure out how to plot a course and go.

I never tried the new player missions....I guess they are rather basic.

It just seems like more of a chore than anything. I'm going to try and figure out a better way to go about it.

I haven't played any video games in ages, but Age of Empires Definite Edition might change that.

Not yet. I finished the 3rd dungeon. Been going around finding seashells and stuff too. It's a great game.

NHL 20 now has in-game commentary from Snoop Dogg during the second period. You know how every hockey fan loves it when there's a celebrity guest commentator during the game so the actual commentators talk about their careers and promote their new bullshit instead of calling the action? That's FINALLY part of a video game too. Wooooo!

It's really good. It can get repetitive a bit I guess, but it's really fun and they nailed the web swinging stuff. If you liked the batman type combat it is similar. I actually did all the side quests and stuff which I don't normally do. I spent alot of time just swinging around haha.

I've tried over the last couple of weeks to get myself back into the NHL games via NHL 20. I spent some time playing some of the World of Chel stuff, primarily dropping into some 6-on-6 matchups but also joining some of the other versions just to see what they're like. I don't play with a microphone or headset because I'm not interested in hearing some 12-year old $hitbrick run his mouth, so I just try to drop in and play. It's...mostly a mess, and that's putting it politely. If you happen to drop into any sort of game where your teammates/opponents are even a little bit invested in actually trying to play, it was fun.

Last night, though, I got dropped into a 6-on-6 game that took more than 45 minutes to play two periods (even with the accelerated clock) because 75% of the other players spent the entire time fighting. The only reason I stayed in the game is because when we actually did play hockey, I managed a goal and three assists and I figured one more miserable period was worth the experience. Nope. Connection dropped midway through the third period and that was 45+ minutes of my life I'll never get back.

I do enjoy trying to chase some of the jerseys and other equipment you can get. Beyond that, though, I can do without it.

I've played a little bit in the Be A Pro mode or whatever it's called...working my way through my junior season pre-draft and that's been OK. I haven't really gotten into starting a franchise yet. I've heard it's not much better than any of the previous five, six...maybe seven versions of the game that have failed to hold my interest so I'm not holding my breath but I'll give it a shot.

As someone who used to play the absolute hell out of franchise modes on the old NHL 2K games on the PS2, I really miss the days when these games had actual competition to force studios to actually pay attention to quality for those modes. In some ways, the HUT and online play is the worst thing that could have happened to some of these games.

Yea, that mechanic is awesome, and I liked the Batman games so the fight system is great, imo. Overall I'm spending some time on it during holiday break since they massacred BFV.
