I'm torn.... I'm finishing up the campaign on Watch Dogs 2 (which has turned out to be rather enjoyable); but FC5 is out, and that's much more my jam. Do I finish up WD2? Or do I jump into FC5?
CRISIS AVERTED

I didn't realize I was on the penultimate story mission in WD2. Finished that off (extremely lame ending), then fired up FC5. First, one of the voice actors is also in WD2, so that was confusing. Second, the game is bonkers. The opening cut scenes are great, and the bad guy is nuts. It's like a mashup of Bioshock Infinite and a Bass Pro Shops commercial.

Got FC5. It’s good so far. More along the lines of assassins creed than it is destiny, but most who have played far cry before probably already knew that.

I need to get accustomed to the controls, but good potential from what I’ve done thus far.

I decided to try Fortnite because I'm hearing about it almost everywhere I go. I finished 8th in only my second game ever. Is that good? I did get 1 kill, but spent most of the time roaming. I'm not sure how I died; I just died suddenly while entering a building with a message that I killed myself. Didn't think I was outside the circle either.

Anyway, I'm not sure I'm that into Fortnite. I can see why the building aspect would be a huge selling point, but I'm not sure I like it. In one of the matches, 2 of the final 3 guys built Empire State buildings for cover, and I found that incredibly cheap.

Someone probably placed a trap above the door, they do 125 damage. This player probably died before you so the message comes up that you eliminated yourself instead

That’s probably exactly what happened.

Far Cry is a blast. Crafting system is great, leveling up is better, and the enemy AI is crazy aggressive. The world is stunning and the new 3D map interface is killer.

Not bad for your first time. I remember seeing the building my first couple times and thinking I'll never win. Well, I still haven't won. But it's still a blast and I'm routinely top 7 or 8, just can't get that W. It's incredibly addicting, and even more so if you have some friends to play squads with. So much more fun

Squads/duos is definitely the way to go. However the first 25-50 games you should land somewhere not as crowded, learn the building aspects then drop places like retail, pleasant, etc. It is hard to win if you land remotely and only get one kill when you get top 10. Definitely need the weapons and materials.

Downloaded and played PUBG mobile on my tablet this morning. I've never played it before and wanted to see what it was all about. First match went solo...and winner winner chicken dinner! 8 kills. I watched an impressive six person firefight from cover across a field, then single shot killed the last guy/gal standing like a d*ck. Good game IMO...just wish there was an option to play as a baby elephant.

Does Fortnite have skill based matchmaking?

Also not to rain on your PUBG mobile parade, but those were all bots. As you progress, more and more human players are added until eventually it’s 100% human. I’ve been playing since release and now it feels like about 60% of my encounters are human players, and definitely the final circles are all human.

Yeah... I kinda figured. My second game I came in 4th in duo. No real threats anywhere til the end. Twice was caught in the open and the player (bot) missed me. Still a fun game. Controls seem pretty smooth.

Just a heads up but it’ll likely be on EA Access in time for the playoffs.

Snobby Shores, Retail Row, Pleasant Park are my typical landing spots. Drop Tilted Towers every so often to get into the thick of it quick.

One of the more underrated aspects of Fornite is the location variety. I was in a toilet factory smashing toilets for cryin out loud.
