And real-time real-world weather simulation.

Not be a Debbie Downer, but even though this thing is making me consider updating my hardware for the first time in like 8 years, I get a kick watching these pre-alpha videos and watching the ground traffic on the roads and streets. A lot of interesting driving decisions being made by the AI. lol

I have a feeling the specs for that game are going to be… challenging. Especially to make it look like that video.

I think I'd really like flight simming. I've stayed away from it because I have a bad feeling that it would escalate to the point where I'm spending thousands of dollars on all of the realistic cockpit parts.

The crazy thing is that the demo footage was not using ray tracing or a $1200 2080ti GPU. And it uses DX11, which works on older hardware.

Wow, the October PS+ games are MLB the Show 19 and Last of Us Remastered. That's pretty, pretty good.

Here's a hands on pre-access review of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020:

This looks - and sounds - unbelievable.
This is one of the games I really am looking forward to as part of my game pass ultimate sub.

I started Far Cry 5 back when my wife was about 8 months pregnant and only played a little bit of it. Completely forgot the story line and how to play, so I started back at the start since my wife grades well into the night and my little one has a 7:00 bedtime. So far, I'm really enjoying it. Just got captured for the second time by John Seed, which I vaguely recall happening last time as well. What's really nice is that I have a pair of headphones that have "active listening" so I can still hear if my daughter is crying or needs me, but I can also crank the sound for full effect and not wake her with it being loud since I've got headphones on.

There are some truly maddening elements to the gameplay of FC5, that capture mechanic being the chief offender. "Oh, you're in the middle of doing something else? Traversing the map in an airplane? DON'T CARE, YOU HAVE TO PLAY THIS BIT NOW."

The only way to avoid it is to fast travel to one of the other three regions. But as soon as you return to that captain's realm, boom. Capture.

One of the funny things I noted is that the Bing maps data appears to be seriously out of date in some instances. The footage of San Francisco shows the neighborhood where we lived in 2016 as a still-undeveloped pile of dirt.

Only terrible thing that I've noticed so far is that I don't like is on start up, it can be laggy, until I die. Once I die, it is smooth.

I don't mind the "do this mission now" style of stuff. That's real life when you're fighting peggies!

I didn't mind FC5. FC6 was a no-go from me though. Played one FC, you most likely played them all.

I loved Far Cry 4, which is the only other Far Cry that I've played. I don't plan to do much more as, like you said, FC5 so far is almost identical to FC4, just in a different location.

Do you mean actual FC6 or New Dawn, the post-apocalyptic sequel to FC5? Cos I've seen a teaser for FC6 that posits a return to Rook Island (FC3) and features Vaas.

I've played the campaign to 4 probably three times. Pagan Min is such a great villain.

I always play the Amita path. I started on the Sabal path on one of the playthroughs and after completing your first mission for him he takes you to an animal sacrifice ritual. And I was like "I'm out".

The Last of Us Remastered and MLB 19 The Show are this months PS+ free games. Already have TLoU on PS3, but it's not bad having an upgrade. Haven't played a baseball video game since like N64 era. Going to be overwhelmed, but I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Finally got around to playing Untitled Goose Game and this is the game that makes everything OK in the world again. There is a reason it's #1 on download charts beating out Zelda. I woke up the kids and they came running downstairs from laughing so hard.

Sony finally relented and now supports cross play on any title should the developer want it.

Shawn Layden just announced he was leaving the company earlier this week. He's been party of Sony and PlayStation furniture since the 1980s. There appears to be a bit of a power struggle amongst the highest levels of management at the company.

Was following a guide to find some artifacts and such in HZD that were annoying me... Guide left out the convenient fact that the one artifact was guarded by a pair of Corrupted Sawtooths... Just a minor omission!

PS5 (official name) out holiday 2020.

It will have ray-tracing and a new controller with haptic feedback.
