Remember that time LBL bragged about one-pumping three guys (in a row!)?

Gamestop has buy 2 get 1 free for all pre-owned games. Just stopped and picked up Horizon Zero Dawn Complete, MLB the show 18, and The Golf Club 2 (mostly for the course design option). Total was 47 bucks...which was covered by the $50 gift card that came with the system. :fist:

I wouldn't drop my elite controller, and I can't dance whatsoever.

ELI5: Why use Steam instead of just buying PC games outright?

TBH, in my case, it's more just because I played Half-Life, CS, and TF a TON so I just kinda started using it a long time ago. I only buy games during the Steam sales, and it's just nice having them in my library. If I didn't have the library, I would forget I owned a lot of these games.

A lot of games are Steam only or use their own launchers these days, too.

ELI5: Why use Steam instead of just buying PC games outright?
Speed of buying.
Convenience of buying.
Easier to manage game library.
No need to deal with storage of packaging or remember where I put any physical media.
Good prices during regular sales.
Massive game library, including many titles that are Steam-only.

Upon reflection, those are also all of the same reasons I buy Kindle books rather than paper copies.

Ah, cool, thanks folks.

They are the easiest way to get the only MSFS still out there, and I was going to also pick up some other racing sims so I wanted to see if there was any reason not to buy into their platform.

Has anyone here played Smash Ultimate yet? We got a switch for Christmas, and I plan on picking up the game for my birthday.

it is a blast. Played a lot of 8 player local and it is great. There is a lot to this game, they went all out, something for everyone.

Awesome. :thumb: I haven't bought a Smash game since Melee, and I am looking forward to it.

My kids got gift cards to buy new games (or whatever) for the new Switch. They bought Zelda and a damn Pokemon game, but I wanted them to get Smash Bros. Oh well.

You should buy it for yourself so that they know what they are missing out on. :)

I know I'm late to the game, but picked up Breath of the Wild. Pumped to play it.

Pillars of Eternity 2 recently came out, but I realized that I'd never bought or played the two White March DLCs for PoE 1, so I figured I should do all of the content for PoE 1 before playing PoE 2. I started a new game over from the beginning. It reminds me how much I liked the game the first time. I've enjoyed these isometric RPGs since the original Baldur's Gate.

Regarding the Switch. Is it possible to save game progress from one user to another? My son plays smash bros and has everyone unlocked, but for me to use all of the unlocked characters, it appears I have to use his user profile. Is there any way around this? I know it asks you who is playing the game when you open it, but it appears you can only select one user...

Are you not able to sign into multiple users with separate controllers?
