Are you not able to sign into multiple users with separate controllers?
I didn't think so, but that is coming from my kid. I can't seem to find anything online that says you can. I will have to test it tonight.

That is lame if you can't. You can do that on Xbox, and I'd imagine you would have no issue on a PS4.

eh, you probably can, and I don't know what I'm doing. I feel like I've had about 10 minutes to play with the kids hogging it. I wonder how that would work with progress? If my son has all the characters and I never played on my account, will everything be unlocked?

I would imagine it would be account based, so I would think you would need to unlock everyone. However I have never played a Switch so I can't say for sure.

The Duke Nukem 3D one is cool. Mirrors/reflections are indeed insanely hardware-intensive.

I loved how intuitive they'd have to be, knowing when a game ships, that's it - no updates or patching (back then). Now, we pay extra to get early access to unfinished games and ask for more.

Duke Nukem changed my entire outlook on video games. I remember playing 3D for months, loved every level.

If you have a PS4 dev kit you can open the debug mode and fly the camera and character around in the game world and look 'behind' buildings and such. In the engine they use for the Uncharted games, this means the character adopts a silly looking cross-leg yoga pose as you move them, because with their arms and legs out and floppy it would take too much processing power to render the character simultaneously with all the hidden stuff.

Chapter six of Red Dead. Woof. So far my favorite game story I've played in ages.

Played original Legend of Zelda through Switch Online last night for a couple hours. Got through 4 dungeons. I've been playing with the classic NES controllers and holy ****, the feels, I was like a kid again last night. So much joy came from playing this game and remembering the days of old. My hands and thumb hurt pretty bad from the original controller, but I wouldn't want it any other way. I am really digging the switch.

Side note, anyone play Stardew Valley or Hollow Knight?

My wife has been obsessed with Stardew Valley for about a year now. Having it on the Switch is really nice, too.

It looks like it could be fun, but I'm more worried about a game that looks like there really isn't an end and I'd get bored by it. I'm enjoying Zelda NES now because it looks like I can actually finish the game in a few hours. As I'm getting older and don't have the time I used to, I'm starting to see myself losing interest in longer games. I don't know if stardew qualifies because of the game it is...

It's in the same vain of Harvest Moon, if you've ever played that. Definitely not a set story/ending for it. The reason it is so successful is because the characters and writing quality is excellent, and can keep you engaged. I think multiplayer is out for it now, too.

good deal, thanks. I used my gold points and got it. Once my daughter sees this game, I won't see the switch for months.
