Likely purchase for me. Will be my first MLB game since 2K11 with Roy Halladay on the cover.

Is it cross platform?
Video Games
Yes. I'm not sure how it happened though. My guess is MLB told Sony "cross platform or no license." The Playstation Studios logo on an Xbox game is nuts.

xBoner sent me that in a group text today. This is the first entry in the MLB The Show series that will release on Microsoft’s home consoles, but Sony isn’t just offering the game on the Xbox for the first time. MLB The Show 21 will also support full cross-platform progression, cross-saves, and online multiplayer between PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
Video Games
What is cross-platform progression? Are they saying that they think people are going to be playing this on Xbox and Playstation simultaneously? So if I own a PS5 and a Xbox, and I buy two copies of MLB The Show, I can switch between the two. Why would I do that?

Weren't you able to create a player for Road to the Show and keep them going through new iterations of the game?
I think they're saying "if your Pro started on PS4 in MLB The Show 2019 you can transfer that save over to Xbox"

Oh okay. So if you played The Show 20 on PS4, you can continue your pro on Xbox with 21. That's pretty cool.Weren't you able to create a player for Road to the Show and keep them going through new iterations of the game?

Yeah, Destiny did something similar with their cross-platform stuff. You set one account as the "main" but if you log into another console it brings everything over for you.

You can't skip years with RTTS show, either. I usually buy it every other year and borrow or rent the gap year from Gamefly to pass my save through.

Played through a little puzzle game called Helltaker. It's a short game where you solve puzzles to "collect" demon girls in Hell because you woke up one day and decided to amass a demon-girl harem. You have to solve a puzzle in a set number of moves and then, after reaching the demon girl, answer her question correctly in order to add her to the harem. The last level switches to "bullet hell" play where you have to dodge items that will hurt you. The game can be completed in probably an hour or so, but it's also completely free on Steam and other sites.

RBI was my favorite. I used to love playing as the NL all stars, Tim Raines was stupid fast and Andre Dawson was almost a guaranteed home run.Baseball Stars was my number one on NES.

The kids and I are into Animal Crossing. It's just a fun relaxing game. Got the Nook and Cranny shop opened.
Also working through DC Super Villians. About 35% of the way through. Finished story mode and just working through freeplay. Winter time is fun for me and the kids and video games.

I've come to realize that in this stage of my life that I just can't do games like Dark Souls anymore. I had never tried Bloodbourne, and it's part of Playstation now, so I downloaded it and gave it a shot yesterday. About an hour to create a character (one of my favorite things to do in any game), then to the gameplay. Takes me 20 minutes to figure out how to get weapons, start to figure our the mechanics, start playing through, dead, restart, advance a bit further, dead, start really figuring out the combat, advance a lot further, dead, now i've got it, playing thru and advancing, find a save lamp, cool, continue going thru, dead, respawn at lamp, advance some more, dead...but definitely getting better, get thru the section that seemed impossible 20 minutes before, feeling good, now stressing for another save lamp, only one way to go, overpowered werewolf things, dead, angry quit, realize i played for about 3 and a half hours and advanced probably 15 minutes in the game.
Like, who enjoys this? What happened to them as children? Were they not loved? Does a sadistic version of Groundhog Day 'do it' for them? Is this just cheaper than hiring a dominatrix to step on your particulars every 10 minutes for 4 hours? Bah.

I feel you. I'm the same way now that I'm older. I play the majority of my games on Normal or even Easy just because I want to enjoy the game and not stress out. I don't know how I ever beat those hard ass nintendo games when I was younger, but I guess it was just a different mindset and I liked the challenge.I've come to realize that in this stage of my life that I just can't do games like Dark Souls anymore. Dark Souls/Demon Souls/Bloodborne all seem interesting to me, and I want to play them, but I have such limited time to play games these days that I don't want to be miserable while playing a game that is that difficult. It's not fun to me, but I understand why others like the challenge and the rush you get when you finally get past a certain part after dying 100 times. I used to be like that, but at age 37 just not my thing anymore I play games to relax and have fun.

I yelled at my kids the other day because they chopped down all the trees in the one area and I had to replant some so we can harvest more wood. Damn kids.We love animal crossing too. We haven't been able to play animal crossing because I found the game in the dryer after doing laundry. It still worked, but found it again later in the week under a couch on a different floor than the tv room, gave it to the child and they can't remember what they did with it.
