Leave it to EA to make the grand announcement on something they haven't done any work on yet

I must admit that years ago I quit Dark Souls and swore to never play the game again or play any other game in the franchise. I was actually most of the way through, and I was trying to beat an optional boss. I counted; I fought that boss at least 30 times without even coming close to beating him. That's when I decided, "Eff this game and the people who made it. I'm never playing it or any other Dark Souls game again."

There's a difference between a game being challenging and a game demanding perfection. Perfection is only fun to the sort of people who make speedrun videos on YouTube.

This is why I may never even unwrap Demon's Souls... I'm sure Gamestop would give me $5 for an unopened copy.

Could be worse. They could've announced it and then said something like "We look forward to sharing more information as development progresses in the next couple of years."

I’m having a hell of a time trying to find a new game to get into. I’ve been uninstalling games left and right.

Finished up the platinum in Bugsnax earlier. What a wacky game. I'm pretty sure it was conceived by a stoner pokemon addict. It was fun though, and considering it was free via PS+, bonus. There are a few bugsnax that are a PITA to catch, but quite a bit of humor. Ended up being a bit darker than the graphics and general playstyle belie.

Continuing to work on Miles Morales otherwise.

Got to try out the PS5 on a 4K tv earlier today and it was insane. I thought Ghost of Tsushima looked good on PS4... holy ****. I am definitely going to have to play New Game+ at some point just to experience that. Also fueling the flames for upgrading my tv as well...

Is it just not your style of game? I played the 2016 Doom and loved it, intense as hell but fun. That said, I've gotten so used to more open world type games that it was an adjustment.

It's the controller action that I dislike. You have to cut aim acceleration down to below 10 to make it workable, but that affects movement, too. It's just not as polished in that area as a lot of others, which makes it a little frustrating. I think I've given every demon tinnitus by shooting right past their heads while playing.

Anyone here play FIFA 20? If so, do they have a 'Legends' mode or something, where you can pick, say the '94 AC Milan squad and play as them?

I need QUICK help!

I'd like to buy Minecraft (I personally do not play any games) as a birthday gift (the birthday is 2/14) and the Czech e-shop (I want to buy it there, because the shop claims the game will have Czech subtitles) offers 2 versions:

Minecraft (PC) DIGITAL (for CZK 857)
https://www.alza.cz/media/minecraft-pc- ... 346678.htm
vs.
Minecraft Windows 10 Starter Collection - PC DIGITAL (for CZK 799)
https://www.alza.cz/media/minecraft-win ... 490958.htm

Forget the difference in price (it's like $2.50) - but can anyone tell me if there is any difference between the versions? I saw somewhere on the Internet that "Starter Collection" has actually more stuff in it (despite lower price).

Thanks!!

Not really quick, but the Starter edition comes with skin packs and a few other odds and ends. If the price difference is so close, I'd just go with the Starter version for the extras.

Awesome. Thanks again. That was quick! :)

The funny thing is that stater edition is actually cheaper...

After 2 months of swinging and missing on Best Buy drops....I got a 3070 founders edition video card. Estimated pickup on the 18th. I’ve been buying components for nearly 3 months, and I have the final and most difficult to acquire piece. :fistpump:

There are also two versions of Minecraft (and Google translate isn't helping me very well): one is the original Java version, which can run mods and is the classic (but very up to date) version of the game. There is also a Windows 10 edition, which has many of the same features as the Java version - but it is also cross platform with console and mobile versions of the game. A couple of years ago, when both boys were really into Minecraft, one of them had a birthday sleepover and we had 10 kids playing on a single Minecraft server. It was cool, and very easy.

Not sure if mods vs. cross platform makes a difference, or if you just want your child practicing Czech whilst playing Minecraft.

Thanks! Since I don't understand what "mods vs. cross platform" means (I seriously haven't touched a video game in about 20 years), I think the cheaper Win10 starter version will do. :D

That is, next time - because after I posted my question yesterday, I found this instead:
https://www.alza.cz/gaming/anno-history ... 859927.htm

It better fits my purpose (it's a gift for an older adult), and saves me something like $10...
