Dreamcast was ahead of its time and a fantastic system with some great games. NFL2k is still better than Madden to this day.

iirc, nfl2k1 was where the online player vs player feature was added over a built in 56k modem

I remember playing NFL2k1 online vs for the first time. It was a choppy mess, I got crushed 40-some to 0. The guy started out talking **** and by the end felt bad and was giving me advice.

I miss the NFL2K series, after what I've seen of Madden, it's the worst ever.

I'm guessing these are the old videos that were submitted and later DQ'ed by Twin Galaxies. The new technical analysis focuses on Mitchell’s Donkey Kong records of 1,047,200 and 1,050,200 points. The author of the analysis is Tanner Fokkens, a hardware engineer and a competitive Donkey Kong player. His report was backed by five other experts.
The crux of the controversy and accusations against Mitchell is that he claimed to have scored those records on original Donkey Kong arcade hardware, while his critics accused him of using MAME, an emulator that is recognized as a legitimate way to play the game, but records scored on these two different platforms are recognized as two different categories of records.
“MAME scores which are passed off as coming from original arcade are disqualified,” Fokkens wrote in his report.

After spending so much time in FC6 (I quit maybe 75% of the way through the campaign), I went back into FC5 for a bit. It is so much harder! lolFired up Far Cry 5 again... I forgot how fun the game is. I think it's one of my favorites.
There are some things about the game that remain utterly stupid, but it feels like it has more post-completion playability than other entries in the series.
- FC1 Never played more than a couple hours, much less complete.
- FC2 Might as well have been a lifetime ago, not sure you even can go back in post-completion and roam.
- FC3 Never tried to play anything except to find the dude from the cover art that's buried in the sand as part of the viral marketing.
- FC4 Shanath Arena guards.... that is all.
- FC5 Kill random cultists!
- FC6 Will likely never finish it, so I don't know what free play is like.
I will also say that FC5 is maybe the best looking game in the series, too.

Agreed it's the best looking one. 6 is cool, and 4 has some beautiful parts to it, but I really like the look of FC5.
There are so many missions I forgot about and so many things that I didn't do the first time around that I'll do this time. The only complaint I have is getting kidnapped so many damn times. Like, cool... I escape death for the 13th time when they should have just put a bullet in my head. That and I'm starting to remember the ending and getting frustrated about it.

Yeah, the capture missions are just inexcusably dumb.

I hope they update the controls. Unfortunately I find Goldeneye unplayable now.

I never played it on a console, but I attempted to play it on an emulator a few years ago...could not do anything with a gamepad. So yeah, hopefully the control schemes are reworked.

Goldeneye is fun on an actual N64 that can hide all of it's flaws. Not so sure it being all polished up and actually being able to see things with a better framerate and the N64 "blur" gone will benefit it honestly.
I hate the N64 controller but Goldeneye does give you like 3 or 4 different control scheme options and I found one that was at least useable.

Man, we used to meet up around midnight and play Bond all night until we had to go to high school in the morning. Those were the days. No idea how I'm still alive.

I can't play a FPS without dual sticks anymore. There's no going back.Source of the post I hate the N64 controller but Goldeneye does give you like 3 or 4 different control scheme options and I found one that was at least useable.
I do remember Goldeneye looking great on the 64 but going back it's pretty rough. Lots of that N64 fog to cover render distance.

Most N64 games look like dog doo doo, and even did back then. They blur/smear and the fog effect covered lots of really ugly stuff. The N64 was very underpowered, but it had some fun games.
I don't have much nostalgia for it personally, but it's been fun getting some games here and there to try them out.
Perfect Dark is also the better game when compared to Goldeneye and it's not really close IMO.

I could never really play Perfect Dark because I somehow never got the expansion pack. I still don't have it, sadly.

Oh nice Goldeneye is coming direct to Game Pass. I won't post the trailer because it's exactly the same as the Switch except with "Coming soon to Game Pass" instead of the Switch text. I'll definitely try it out now.

Wait... online multiplayer is exclusive to Switch. lol

Excellent plot for a shooter, and the features were great. Multiplayer options galore, and **** like the counter-op feature, where one player could play the solo campaign and the other would keep re-spawning as various generics throughout the levels was really creative.Perfect Dark is also the better game when compared to Goldeneye and it's not really close IMO.
