I saw your comments about seasons. You should buy this.

My kids are loving Dreamlight Valley. We downloaded on the Switch. It's essentially Animal Crossing but with Disney. There are more tasks and puzzles than Animal Crossing.
Anyone else play it?

Those graphics look awful.

I watched someone speed run the NES version of Friday the 13th in about 2min 30 seconds. He was just straight up bullying Jason.
Kind of ruined my childhood. I spent a lot of time with that game but never beat it.

This looks interesting:
From a bunch of ex-DICE (Battlefield, Battlefront) developers. Free to play, too.

Stadia is being discontinued/disabled (not that I assume anyone here actually used it).
Apparently no one (including software engineers and other employees) outside of the decision makers knew this was something that was going to happen.
Woof.

They had something like 200k accounts, but the biggest game barely cracked five figures in daily users at its peak. Stadia just.... wasn't interesting.

I’m really surprised that they’re refunding all games and hardware.

On PlayStation, you would need to login as a new user on your friends PS4 or 5. But then you could play, yes. I'm assuming that's how it works on Xbox.

I think there's some sort of licensing thing with Xbox digital game downloads but am not 100%. I do know a friend tried to log in to mine so we could play Jackbox on his account but the system wouldn't let us start the game because I personally hadn't bought it on my side of things.

I went to the Pittsburgh gaming expo today. Bought a NES game genie in the box with codebook plus some random games. Good thing I set a limit on myself or I would have dropped $500 easy.

I also went and snagged a few things. The NES was one of those things that has been on my radar but I really didn't have it as a priority because it wasn't a system that I owned back in the day. But friends did have it and I did spend quite a few night playing games like RC Pro-Am and Blades Of Steel. So I was able to pick one up that worked really well (the seller's words) for $60.
Also grabbed a few Atari games, and despite my disdain for the Atari port of Pac-Man, I picked up this poster. It's minimal, kinda rare, and didn't set me back all that much.
I was gonna grab a signed print from the dude who did the MK and Pac-Man graphics, but his sig was in fine print silver and barely noticeable in the print.

My total haul was...
NES Game genie in box with codebook
Tetris attack snes (wife wanted this and is playing it now)
Ninja gaiden 2 NES
Batman returns Genesis
Vectorman Genesis
TMNT fall of the foot clan game boy
Zelda 2 NES (gold cartridge)
Super Mario World instruction manual
I also thought about the signed prints but forgot to go back last that table. Would have bought more but some booths were cash only and I was too lazy to go get money out.

Damnit, I didn't know this was going on.

Playing through Ocarina of Time now, first time in 20 years. It's like brand new to me since it's been so long.
I remember playing it originally, the world seemed to big. But now 25 years later, especially after playing BotW, it is a small world. Still a lot of fun.

Isn't that funny? I remember thinking the starting area alone in OoT was so big, and then when I first walked out onto Hyrule Field, 13 year old me was blown away. Kokiri Forest to Hyrule Castle seemed like a legit journey.Playing through Ocarina of Time now, first time in 20 years. It's like brand new to me since it's been so long.

I use the Hyrule morning theme for my alarm, it's the only one that doesn't make me rage.
