Anyone else take screenshots of their games? Here is my Imperial character from my current run of Skyrim. Her name is Verina and the picture is Riverwood, from near the game start.

I assume this is with a ton of PC mods? I really need to play a modded playthrough of that game.
Yessir. Special Edition with 125 mods.

That reminds me of when I was sim racing. I'd have the base game (rFactor, etc), then season mods for every F1 and Champ Car season going back to the 70s, plus every track I could download. I loved running Champ Cars around European circuits like Spa and Mugello and La Sarthe, or running F1 cars around Elkhart Lake and Laguna Seca.

The quality differences from the best to the worst mods was often a source of frustration.

For anyone who remembers Destruction Derby from our youth, a game called Wreckfest is releasing on console on 8/27 for $40.00 - Videos are pretty cool looking. I grabbed the cheap pre order version.

Also awaiting MK11 to get cheap...

Is there faster than light travel in Kerbal?

Is there faster than light travel in Kerbal?

Not currently, and there aren't any other solar systems, either, although some are available through modding. The details released for KSP2 say there will be other solar systems and interstellar travel. The announcement says the game will have the following new features:
● Improved Onboarding: Kerbal Space Program 2 will create a whole new generation of space flight experts who will find themselves accidentally learning rocket science. New animated tutorials, improved UI, and fully revamped assembly and flight instructions allow novel players to quickly put their creativity to the test without sacrificing any of the challenge from the original game.

● Next Generation Technology: In Kerbal Space Program 2, the astoundingly inventive creations that KSP is known for will be taken to a whole new level. Players will be delighted and challenged by next-generation engines, parts, fuel, and much more. This new tech will not just create novel puzzles for players to solve, but will also enable new feats of space exploration within and beyond the original Kerbolar System.

● Colonies: Brand new to Kerbal Space Program 2 are colonies.. These colonies not only pose their own physics challenges, but also require resource gathering to build structures, space stations, habitations, and unique fuel types. Eventually, these colonies become advanced enough for vehicle construction, propelling deep space and beyond.

● Interstellar Travel: Next-gen tech, colonies, and systematic resource gathering all lead to a whole new level of exploration: interstellar travel. In Kerbal Space Program 2, these interstellar technologies pave the way to a host of new celestial bodies, each comprising new challenges and harboring new secret treasures. Among them: Charr, a heat-blasted world of iron; Ovin, a ringed super-Earth with relentless gravity; Rask and Rusk, a binary pair locked in a dance of death; and many more to reward exploration.

● Multiplayer/Modding: The technological developments made to the foundations of Kerbal Space Program 2 will build on the beloved modding capabilities of the original game, as well as deliver on the long-requested addition of multiplayer. Soon players will be able to share the challenges of deep space exploration. More details on these features will be revealed at a later time.

Some of the new tech is on display in the trailer. At the 1:42 mark we see what appears to be a Project Orion-type nuclear pulse drive, and the huge spacecraft with the giant engine bell at 1:52 looks a lot like a Project Daedalus-type laser fusion drive. Also, the trailer shows that ship attached to a space station in orbit of Jool (KSP's version of Jupiter), and the real-life Project Daedalus proposed mining helium-3 from the atmosphere of Jupiter. Neither one of those would be FTL, but they would be capable of interstellar flight.

IGN interview with KSP2 Creative Director Nate Simpson. It also includes some pre-alpha gameplay:

This interview makes me quite optimistic. KSP isn't a game for everyone, but the people who are into KSP seem to be really into KSP. After listening to him, I'd say Mr. Simpson appears to totally "get" the game.

Not much to see in the gameplay sample, but we do see parts of the KSC as the rocket spins out of control, and I see what looks like two runways, at least three landing pads, and multiple launch complexes.

Anyone play Tony Hawk 5? Reviews sound pretty bad, but this is for kids under 10 who never played the first 4 and love skateboarding

I think my Tony Hawk experience ended with THUG2. Those first six games were the ****. From what I remember about TH5 reviews, it was made on the quick and cheap due to the licensing deal expiring if a game wasn't released by the end of the year and is essentially a broken game.

I get that it is for your kids, but this doesn't sound garden variety not-great, it sounds *really* bad.

More planets and high resolution without game breaking mods is everything I wanted.

Yeah there's nothing wrong with kids and bad games, but if the game is downright broken, that's a different story. Sounds like you can't even get past the menu half the time.

I wish I was. Loved that when it first came out. I'd like to think my wife is with me today because I made the decision to stop playing all those years ago when we were dating. Dang, that game would suck up time.
