Actually, I'm pretty sure that is already possible. Heck, you can play Morrowind on mobile.

Decided to play Witcher 3 next from my Steam queue. I'm happy to find that my gaming computer is capable of running the game on ultra settings at 1080p, although it's blowing heat like a space heater. Game does look pretty, though.

Rocket League now has Knight Rider KITT. Damn.

I've never bought a DLC pack, but I had to have the Ghostbusters pack for the Ecto-1. It looks awesome but I'm absolutely terrible with it. It plays like a Dominus and I haven't used that car since the first month or so that I bought the game. After a particularly spectacular whiff, my teammate typed "I don't think that car could hit the ball if you paid it to. Oh wait you did." I haven't used it since...

KITT is well rendered and plays okay, but I've spent the first few matches whiffing on stuff I know my Time Machine would have clipped. The main criticism with the KITT is the sound. It's like a whirring vacuum cleaner all the time because they made the 'turbo boost' sound the actual sound of the motor. I was expecting an old V8 rumble with the turbo sound overlaid on top of it when you hit Boost or go supersonic. Oh well. The 'keypad press' they do when your car is set for a match is spot on and a great nostalgia pull.

Have you played Beach Ball yet? It's fun. A bit frustrating but they got beach ball physics down pretty well.

Not yet. I really didn't enjoy Spike Rush or Ghost Hunt so I didn't have high hopes for it but I'll give it a try.

I don't go for the special games either, normally. But I didn't want to use KITT in ranked play at first so I went ahead and tried it out. It's exactly what it sounds like, you play with a beach ball. So when you hit it it does that beach ball spin/curve and it's more drastic depending on where and how hard you strike the ball. There have been shots where I'm a couple feet out from an wide open goal, make solid contact, and miss. It's infuriating in a fun way. Playing goal is a pain too as your normal interception speeds are wrong so you can misjudge stuff and completely miss. It's fun.

Since we moved my PC is next to the table where we have our printer and office supplies set up. So I put a Vornado floor fan under the table pointed at the PC side intake fan. That seems to have helped a lot, without any real noticeable increase in noise. Is that kind of a setup a viable option for you?

Thanks for the suggestions. My air flow is fine. I built my gaming PC using a Cooler Master HAF 912 case that has six 120mm case fans: two in the front blowing in; one on the side above the video card blowing in; one on the back blowing out; and two on the top blowing out. Best gaming-computer case I've ever used; I can't recommend it enough. The video card also has the fan setup where it's blowing out the next slot. My comment was more on the sheer amount of hot air my Radeon R9 390 is blasting out under full load; it's darn near like a little hairdryer shooting air out of the back of the case, and playing Witcher 3 it's pretty much running at that level constantly.

Last year I got tired of having to crank the air conditioning way up in my house just to get a decent temperature in the computer room. My solution to deal with that was to buy a separate portable air conditioner just to cool that particular room, so room temperature is no longer an issue, either. So much better.

Nice, I have the full tower version of that case, the 932 I think it's called. I think it's a Russian tank.

The HAF series of cases certainly look like Russian tanks. :thumb:

Man, that 390 is a workhorse card. I upgraded to a 144 hz. 1440p monitor and fully expected to have to run BFV at a lower resolution to get decent frames until I was able to upgrade GPUs.

Well, I'm still getting 80-100 FPS, which is phenomenal. Unfortunately, the display port and HDMI versions are outdated and won't let me overclock the monitor to 155hz., So I'll still need to upgrade. But what a great card for $300 four plus years ago.

I'm probably going to go 5700XT when the non-reference models release later this summer/fall.

Heh, my kids traded in about 12 old PS4 and 3DS games and got $88 in credit towards a preorder of Madden 20. Good times.

Well, the standard version is $60. We went with the Ultimate Superstar Deluxe version because we had the credit. That was $80. Ridiculous, but my kids would drive me crazy trying to spend $28 in store credit. We would end up spending much more than $28, and it would be a painful process with much fighting and bickering.

Anyone playing the NHL 20 beta? I'm digging the new skating and shooting animations, especially the backhand one-timers. It feels more like a NHL 19.5 than NHL 20 but that's pretty much the norm.

Replay FX, the mostly-retro arcade thing that comes to town every year, is down at the convention center from today until Sunday. Debating whether to head down either Friday or Saturday.

Tried it, only care about the franchise - will likely wait until it's free on EA Access.

I know I run years behind on video games, but I have a policy of always waiting until prices have fallen before I buy anything. So I'm just playing Witcher 3 now. This is a good game. The open-world play, variety of quests, and quality of play are top-notch, and I see why this game got such good reviews. I only have a couple nitpicks. First—with a nitpick that applies to every game with this mechanic—weapon/armor degradation is way, way too fast. A couple good fights and a blade would drop from 100% to somewhere around 60%. Swords are not that fragile, and I was spending a fortune on repairs. So I installed a mod and adjusted the durability to be four times higher. Second, I bought Witcher 3 to play Witcher 3, not to play Magic the Gathering or Pokemon or whatever, so I installed the "No Time for Gwent" mod that lets me press a button and instantly win that stupid card game.

Couldn't agree more on weapon degradation, in any game. That was the first thing I modded out of Fallout 3 and New Vegas. The repair system in those games is really stupid. About the only one I can tolerate is TES: Oblivion's repair hammer system.

Agreed. I think it makes even less sense for firearms. I could at least see a bladed weapon like a sword "degrading" by getting nicked and dulled though use, and thus it might make sense for a game to make you sharpen it regularly in order to keep it in optimal shape. But a firearm? Guns can fire thousands of rounds and still work fine, and how the heck would something like a Fallout 3 sledgehammer degrade through use? It's a frickin' hammer!

Anyone else take screenshots of their games? Here is my Imperial character from my current run of Skyrim. Her name is Verina and the picture is Riverwood, from near the game start.

I assume this is with a ton of PC mods? I really need to play a modded playthrough of that game.
