The Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo is out and I played it the other day. This game's gonna be good!

This is fascinating.

My college roommate (who got me to move to CA) grew up with Bob Rafei, who was like Employee Hire #2 at Naughty Dog in 1995 or 1996. So when I got here in 1997, the OG guys at ND (and Insomniac, their sister studio at Universal Interactive) were part of my extended circle of friends.

The coax plugin on my Genesis fell off/is falling off. Not sure how to keep it there without potentially damaging it.
those switches should be available on ebay or amazon for $10

I've probably asked before, but are there any Xbox One games that anyone would consider to be just enjoyable? I'm probably trading in Division 2 today because I hate the gameplay.

Hmm, Mortal Kombat 11 is available, and that series has always been fun...

Wait, Doom is available for Xbox One? I think I have my answer.

I think the last thing I got to play on the xbox was Gears 5 and that was fun. Now it's full time use is fortnight, star wars and lego city undercover, I've been demoted to using the switch handheld because of these dang kids and their video games

I don't know that I want a 3rd person shooter, to be honest. Gears 5 was my likely choice if I went that route, though.

The Master Chief Collection is really great. The problems with multiplayer have been mostly fixed but to be able to have the campaigns for Combat Evolved (Anniversary), Halo 2 (Anniversary), Halo 3, ODST, Reach, and Halo 4 all on the same "game" is incredible. I played through CE when I first got it and damn that game still holds up.

I don't really like anything multiplayer, either. I may give Gears 5 a shot since it was already on my list of possibles.

If you've never played the Halo campaigns, you'd be in for a treat.

I played Halo on PC when it first came out, but honestly don't recall it at all. Watching the new walkthroughs on YouTube, it really looks like Unreal Tournament. Without looking, I'd assume that Halo was built on the Unreal engine, too.

I think I have Reach for the 360 still. I'm not much of an online gamer, but the campaigns were always fun.

Unreal Tournament.
Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time. Long time.

UT was such an incredible achievement. Specifically, Unreal Tournament 2004 continues to be one of my favorite competitive FPS games of all time and I still play it on Steam.

2nd that MCC is good stuff. Little over halfway through the play through of the CE campaign on Legendary. O boy is The Library a pain solo

Yes. Very sparingly, but yes. Best time is on a faceoff or after you board someone.

The most realistic aspect of the NHL series is being forced to fight after a big clean hit.

I just remember playing a 6v6 game in World of Chel and someone trying to start a fight during the opening faceoff. Not sure if the computer will oblige of you try it though. I can probably count on 1 hand the times I've tried to fight in NHL20

I've played World of Chel more than I really feel comfortable admitting (I dig the alumni jerseys) and I think this is a pretty regular thing. It feels like about every other 6v6 drop-in game I play has some clown that spends the whole game either starting fights or just running around hitting other players.

Yeah it's definitely a drawback, especially when you're playing Ones or Threes. There's always some Enforcer Dman who doesn't bother playing the puck and you can barely move because, by the time you get up, he's already made his way back for another hit.
