I'm convinced that this happens on purpose - to give the game a close feeling back and forth. No proof, but it happens in my career mode constantly when the computer goes in to score - then they magically score or get a momentum shift right around the 75th minute if it's a close game.

That all being said, I was on last night, getting back into career mode while C2I ignores 9 o clock feef.

Scouting is the same, but I enjoy this year more than last year. I've had to force myself to just use 1-2 5 star scouts because it's super easy to just fill your team with a bunch of people who are 94 potential.

tif.

From BH:
Yeah these are by far the best online GT races I've been in. These manufacturer cup races, you only get one shot per round and they are long enough (10 laps usually) that you get a lot fewer turn 1 heroes setting a bad tone for the race.

What's weird is I get more tense at the start in these races than I do for the real thing. Haven't quite figured out why.
High praise, honestly.

Wow, that's great. Does he have a ride for '18? I think the last thing I remember was he got sort of boned by Nissan.

Still boned. His former team boss wants desperately to give him a ride, but, he's broke. *whomp whomp*

It's funny (not funny) that an actual Mexican took his actual job.

WW2 is the first COD game I've bought in a few years. I like the campaign well enough so far, but still don't think its as good as the Modern Warfare and first Black Ops one.

I was disappointed that in multiplayer you arent forced to start with a weapon of your assigned side. That was one of my favorite parts of the original MOH AA and COD. I also wish you could pick your side, but understand why they might want to eliminate that.
the hardcore multiplayer is much more enjoyable for me than the standard. i havent played multiplayer FPS in about 6 years. i forgot how awful drop shotters are

EA bought Respawn, makers of both Titanfall games. There is another Titanfall game in development, along with a Star Wars game and a VR game.

This is sort of a distinction without difference. When Jason and Vince left Activision a couple years ago, they were in a situation where they had to maintain an air of.... call it 'independence' in order to solidify their royalty claims for COD. This was always Respawn's endgame, in the same way that once Naughty Dog was loosed from UIS they were going to end up a First Party studio.

Titanfall is my favorite franchise. It was a huge bummer to see it get lost in the sauce between BF1 and that last stupid COD game.

I'm very happy they will be continuing on. The time jumping level in TF2 is probably my favorite video game level ever, and after not playing it for ~9 months I think the changes they made to multiplayer really helped (either that or all the good players abandoned it).

I was having a conversation with my cousin about COD WW2 and the lackluster Normandy level, especially in comparison to MOH:AA. What three video game levels have given you goosebumps?

-DDay in MOH:AA
-White House rescue in COD MW2
-Trial by Fire in TF2

Ditto for me for the Normandy level in MOHAA. I'd never seen anything like that in a video game before, and very few moments in video games have had the same effect on me since.

Yeah, D-Day in the new COD was pretty underwhelming. I think I got through it without dying on Veteran level, or I only died once. It just wasn't engaging.

Goosebumps:
- I'm not sure I can imagine a game impacting me more than the prologue and the Winter chapter of The Last Of Us.
- Derelict reveal in Alien: Isolation.
- Nuke blast in COD MW

Hon mention: Killing someone in Assassin's Creed II in the Piazza della Cisterna in San Gimignano where Mrs Tif and I ate pizza on our honeymoon.

It's only going to go that way as long as consumers continue to buy the game and the in-game micro transactions. This backlash is the first major step in changing that.

nothing is going to change unless people stop buying games. in fact, it will probably get worse since the model is proving to 'work'

The salt in the BF2 subreddit is strong...whoa. That is one pissed off group of people on the internet.

Truth be told, reddit and online message boards constitute such a small percentage of actual gamers. The vast majority never venture on these forums, and happily will pre-order the deluxe edition of BF2 and not give a **** about how many hours to unlock a Hero or pay to win. Especially for a popular casual shooter like BF2.

So all of the people canceling their pre-orders constitutes about .001% of the total sales of the game, and won't move the needle on loot boxes.

But if that 40 hours to unlock a single hero is accurate, that is terrible.

(For the record, I have not pre-ordered the game. What sucks is that I'll have to buy three copies of it on PC, so all of us can play...ugh.)
