How many of yinz nerds are playing WOW classic today?
I wish I was. Loved that when it first came out. I'd like to think my wife is with me today because I made the decision to stop playing all those years ago when we were dating. Dang, that game would suck up time.
right there with you, that game took my life from 17-25. I had to force myself to quit. I got sucked into No Man's Sky last week when it was on sale. The game is honestly the most fun I've had in a while, purely because I can just do whatever I want on my own leisure. Fantastic relaxing game.

For all of the new games I have (RDR2, etc), most of my time has been spent doing emulating on my PC. I have been loving this controller set:

Just dived into Yoshi's Island and Super Mario RPG. I've always loved RPG, but forgot how fun Yoshi's Island was.

Torchlight 2 was released on console this week. I really liked it when I first played it, but a lot of time has passed and this port just leaves a lot to be desired.

Necessarily, there are some differences in UI and certain things that you can't do. This is to be expected. However, it just feels so tremendously dated after playing Diablo 3 and Grim Dawn for so long.

Having to go back to using identify and portal scrolls feels like the stone age at this point, as one simple example.

I probably haven't played the pc version in a good 5+ years at this point, but I don't think this will be supplanting D3 for my arpg needs.

Still gonna at least play through it once though.

I completely forgot about the first Torchlight. That game is 10 years old already?!

Nintendo is not going to release 2/3 retro games a month anymore for their online service. I think this is a good thing if they just start cranking out a a group of 20 or so every quarter, but knowing Nintendo they may go to 2 or 3 a year.

Agree. Love that Super NES is coming out, and also hope they keep adding the NES games.

Also pumped Links Awakening for the Switch is coming in 2 weeks. Been looking forward to that one.

I am significantly less pumped about the price. $60 for a remake of a 26 year old GB game seems a bit much.

I'm still going to get it eventually, but I'm going to wait for the price to drop, or perhaps get it for xmas or something.

Unfortunately, a price drop deal for Nintendo is $10 off 3 years later.

I never played the original since I hated the Gameboy as a kid. Only used it for Tetris.

So to me, it's like a new game. But I've always heard it was fantastic. Plus I love Zelda.

I still have vivid memories of sitting in Biology class with my purple game boy color playing it under the desk because I couldn't put it down. It's so good. I can't wait.

Dreamcast came out 20 years ago today. Jedi Power Battles, Sonic and Jet Set Radio probably caused an extra semester of college for me.

the NFL 2k series on the dreamcast was amazing. That system was actually really good, just ahead of it's time and didn't get the game support it needed.

Came to post that. Dreamcast was my favorite platform for Daytona USA. I had the Bleemcast discs so I could play Gran Turismo 2 and Metal Gear Solid on it with better graphics than Playstation had. It was my favorite console for a long time; really shitty what the PS2 marketing did to it.

Indeed it was. My buddies and I would play that for hours.

Link's Awakening is fantastic...I replay it every few years. That said, I would never pay $60 for it, whether I had played it before or not.

DAY-TON-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

I'd always hear this when walking by the mall arcade no matter how many other games were being played.

Link's Awakening wasn't even $60 when it first came out.

I remember in Nintendo power it was in their #1 spot in power rankings for many years in the Gameboy category.

This is more of an overhaul than the wind waker and past remakes, right? I'm pretty sure they completely redid the game and added new stuff.
