Mixed feelings on Zelda so far. I like the new powers but I am a touch worried they could start to feel gimmicky if over used. Had some issue with getting the pieces to cooperate, especially trying to get something to stand up straight.

The whole fusing things together to make new weapons helps a lot with the durability thing.

I actually thought I was softlocked at one point and was going to have to restart but thankfully had an auto save that I could load.

I got a bit frustrated en route to the 3rd shrine...
You have to navigate a super cold area and the only way to survive is to keep finding spicy peppers and cooking them to make food that will give you cold resistance.

I wouldn't mind this so much if the path to the shrine were obvious.
I'm sure like the original game I'll enjoy it once it gets rolling but this intro part is cramping my style a bit.

Playing metroid fusion first before I get into metroid dread since it seems they are one after the other to get the full story. Cleared the first sector.

I finally got fed up with the state of Halo Infinite and uninstalled it. I hope 343 rots away because of how badly they’ve **** Halo up. I may replay Gears 5 or something, but as of right now there’s nothing on GamePass that I’m interested in. So I’m basically at the point where I’m done gaming until something else actually comes out, which sucks.

Finally figured out how to get to the 3rd shrine and then business picked up from there. Out of the intro and into the wide world of hyrule now.

I don't necessarily want my hand held in games but there are definitely a couple things I don't think were very obvious or explained at all for that matter so far.

Oh my.... (NSFW?)

MK 12 is seemingly going full reboot to the original. Nice.

Anyone looking for a cool N64 Goldeneye vinyl? Some cool ones went up for sale just now. Limited # of copies.

New Zelda is fun, I haven't been able to play it much because of kids playing it, but I just got my paraglider and am looking forward to exploring. My kid already has the master sword and a **** ton of armor. I think the new abilities are really cool, but it's taking me forever to figure out all the buttons in combat quickly. I'm but a simple man who is apparently getting much older when it comes to video games and I don't like that

All I know about the new Zelda game is that some character named "Purah" is reeeeeally popular with the sorts of people who draw lewd fanart of video-game characters.

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure Purah is a blue goat in the game, but if that's your thing, let's get weird

There is a Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater remake coming. I haven't felt my soul vibrate this much for a video game since the Christmas I got Ocarina.

So I'm trying to decide whether I want to give elden ring a shot. Because I don't really have a ton of time to invest in gaming I've generally avoided souls type games because I don't want to play for an hour of two, die 40 times, and accomplish nothing gamewise. I've read a few things online recently about how this one being open world gives players more options, and it isn't necessarily as brutal as Bloodborne or demon's souls because you can generally avoid big baddies until you're better prepared.

Anyone in here confirm that sentiment? Is it more accessible than the others and worth a shot, or is it a 'nah, dawg, stick to your Wild Hearts and Monster Hunter.'

Saw a review of this that was like this.... isn't.... really a game. Like, there's platforming stuff, but.... that's about it. You don't level up, there's no skill tree. There apparently aren't boss fights or anything. It's just Sméagol/Gollum scooting around Barad-dûr for 8 or 9 hours with outlandishly bad A.I., like bordering on Aliens: Colonial Marines bad (which, I remind you, was soooo bad because there was a typo in a single line of code).

The last zone with two boss battles and no rings was tough.

Took me longer to beat that than it did all the other zones combined. My reflexes are not what they used to be.

I bought Super Mega Baseball 4 on a whim. Absolutely fun game, Franchise is very deep for what it is, and a high learning curve to master. It's addicting as hell.

The game is incredible. I prefer simpler games, but went hard on this one. My kid has beaten it 7 times now. I still have fun just going from place to place wiping out camps. You can pretty much play it however you want. It can be tough, but I never felt like I wanted to put the controller down and walk away. It's very easy to get sucked in. It's probably up there amongst the best games I've ever played
