That's my feeling with the game. I'm glad they created a game with 64* sq mi of area to explore. I just don't want to ride a ****ing horse for 10 minutes to get to my next mission. My RDR2 time has gone ice cold since Christmas, save for maybe 2-3 hours spread over a few sessions.

* - that's a random number. I have no idea what the actual number is, but I thought I read it was more than 50 but less than 100.
I heard it takes 15 minutes to ride a horse from end to the other, and that it's around 30 sq mi.

Contrast that with Ghost Recon: Wildlands, where I have taken that long to traverse the map in a helicopter. (With no load screens.)

Yep, Reddit is saying 29 miles. Probably just seems bigger from the walking and traveling via horse instead of car.
https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredempt ... _analysis/

GTAV was the one that is almost 100 miles.
The GTA 5 map is approximately 100 square miles (13x7). Los Santos is about 21 square miles, twice the size of the Midnight Club Los Angeles Map.

Still enjoying the heck out of Enderal. There's an amazing amount of content in this game for a completely free mod. If the map is smaller than Skyrim, it isn't by much, and the main city in Enderal is larger than every city and settlement in Skyrim put together.

There are a couple minor annoyances. There's no fast travel in Enderal, but there are teleport scrolls and other ways to move about. So it will take a little longer to get someplace. The leveling system is different than Skyrim. At each level up, you get skill points you can spend to improve your skills. But applying those points requires a skill book for each point applied, and not only do the skill books cost money, they get more expensive as the skills get more advanced. The books to increase skills at the master level—from 75 points to the max of 100—cost thousands apiece, and the result is that you have to loot everyone and everything like a hoarder in order to get enough money to buy the books. Still, this is a great game.

There’s already a really terrible plug n play Genesis. It has unresponsive wireless controllers and horrible sound. Hopefully this is better than that travesty.

Just saw that it has Gunstar Heroes. That game is awesome. Shame it only has the three button controller though.

I just started playing through Ocarina of Time on my PC. Forgot how much I hate Navi and the slow text scroll in general.

I bought the Sega classic game for switch for $20. Looks like it's about the same thing?

Is that a good or bad thing? I've been thinking about getting the game, but I bought the first at launch and quickly fell out of love with it.

Was having a blast playing with buddies and didn't realize where the time went. I didn't play the first but other people did and said it became very repetitive. This one doesn't seem to have that issue and the loot is constant. I'm having a ton of fun with the game. Haven't gotten to end game yet but should be plenty of content.

As someone who didn't play Div 1 after reaching around level 15, Div 2 is keeping my attention way better than its predecesssor.

By far the greatest crime in that game is that the default answer for "do you want to hear that all again" for Kaepora Gaebora is "yes." He's the only character like that. They KNOW you're going to try to speed-skip through it, so they try to screw you over and make you go through it again. So not cool.

I just sprayed the second machine this week. Care to guess who has parts for three fingernails still covered in Donkey Kong blue despite several attempts at scrubbing?
I thought I had included a pic in the post above.

It's still very much a work in progress. That marquee unfortunately will not be used. I mean I could use it, but that would mean using probably no bigger than a 15 inch screen. I also can't bring myself to shave an extra inch or two from that marquee. I have a 19 inch that fits perfect and look proportionate to the cabinet. More than likely I'll have to either make a new marquee or order one off eBay once I figure out the dimensions.

The blue is actually a little brighter than it looks in the pics. One of my lights are right above the cabinet and was giving too much glare.

The control panel is gonna be the biggest challenge because of the limited space. I have one built out that's only 4" x 4" X 15" (which takes it out to that middle support piece), but I need to figure out if it's gonna have enough clearance for the joystick. If I go any taller, I run the chance of it looking disproportionate.

Nice :thumb:
The whole purpose of finishing my basement is so that I can take my F-14 Tomcat pinball machine out of my parents' basement and bring it home with me. The Jukebox will be nice too, but it's of lesser importance.

There is also a mini Galaga machine that is also in the works. I ended up with the one above after trying to find a cheap full size cabinet on Craiglist. $50 for the empty cabinet was too good to pass up.

The Galaga one will be running a raspberry pi, and this one will be running an iCade 60 in 1. The 60 in 1 has all of the more popular games from the 80s that I believe are all one button or less.

I'm a little disappointed with how the Galaga cabinet turned out. I'm having issues with the vinyl bubbling. I may get it up and running and sell it for a small loss, basically get my money back in parts and subtract what I paid for the cabinet itself. Maybe I'll take a run at the bubbles one last time before I fully reassemble it.

LOL...yes it seems purposely punitive.

I wouldn't mind it as much if you could tap "A" and see each line instantly. I do read them.

For the first time in probably 15+ years, I beat the Water Temple last night. It's awesome waiting this long to play through OoT again because I don't remember long portions of the game, and certainly don't remember most of the details of the dungeons.

A lot of annoying things about the water temple, but it was a superbly designed level that was years ahead of its time. The area where you fight Dark Link is awesome. That said, the boss was a bit underwhelming.
