Now, it could be the hardcore gamers/speed runners, etc that don't have the exact button control or speed that they are used to, and us casual game players would never notice a difference. I'm hoping that is the case.

Finally we can experience Win Back: Covert Operations again.

I could have had you an Off Road for $600 last month. Not sure of your location, but it was in eastern Ohio. Cabinet looked kinda rough but the seller said it was functional. As much as I like that game, the footprint of it is too big for what I already have in my game room.Come on, Arcade 1Up. Give me Off Road.
I'm kinda curious if they could release Off Road for A1Up. Leland was eventually bought out by Midway Games but closed up shop in 2012. Midway sold off some of the properties but I'm not sure or if Off Road was involved. This sounds like something that @tifosi77 could answer.

I'm sure there's one out there. I'm not sure of the process of rigging one up though. Is there an emulator for this game? It might be easier to rig that up than to repair the existing board.so I made my first official arcade cabinet purchase
Good news: I got a great deal on it. Even if I part it out, which I would never consider doing, I would more than make my money back.
Bad news: it's not functional. Also got the manuals with it, but I think the starting point will be to hit up Reddit and YouTube first before unpacking the board and sending it off to get fixed. It powers up and displays, which narrows down a lot of the troubleshooting, but it's very jumbled. Even if it comes down to getting the board fixed, I'll still be well under half of what its worth.
Pic of it powered up:

"Heavy input lag" is what I'm hearing from folks that I trust. Now, it could be the hardcore gamers/speed runners, etc that don't have the exact button control or speed that they are used to, and us casual game players would never notice a difference. I'm hoping that is the case.

If it's the game I'm thinking of it was part of a console compilation in the PS3/X360 gen. As far as I know all the Midway IP went to Warner Interactive.I could have had you an Off Road for $600 last month. Not sure of your location, but it was in eastern Ohio. But releasing old games on different formats isn't necessarily an easy thing, legally. Media was very limited in 19xx and rights agreements might not have contemplated something like "all media now known and hereafter devised".

Not a fan. I'll just keep playing with my USB n64 controller on my gaming pcANyone play the N64 games on the switch yet? I heard they were getting bad reviews due to bad controls/buttons, and some of the graphics look like pooh being converted over.

They could make it a single steering wheel or ideally two. I don't need a 3 wheel set to decrease the footprint. That was my favorite arcade game growing up and it wasn't even close.I could have had you an Off Road for $600 last month. Not sure of your location, but it was in eastern Ohio. I snagged a PS5 at the target restock this morning... I was able to pay for it and got an email that my order went through. Now I'm just waiting for the email that says "lol... JK. We don't have one for you. Sorry."

I love my Switch, but I have zero desire to give Nintendo any more money.

Got my PS5.... I had to laugh at the dude in line in front of me. Must be a first time scalper. He is complaining to the lady at the desk that he bought 8 of them, and she's only letting him get one. He says "Yeah... I made 8 different accounts and bought them all separately. I bought 8, I get 8."...
Someone else comes over to help me and she goes "and you only got 1 right?" I said, loudly, "Oh yeah... I'm not greedy." I got a full blown death glare. I couldn't help but laugh. First off, EVERYTHING on target's website says 1 per customer. Everything. So logically, if you did make 8 different accounts, you go in, you get one PS5, you leave. You come back in a little bit later, you get one, you leave. But to admit at the counter that you gamed the whole system was just incredible to me. He was still arguing with the lady as I left.

I hope they took his name so that they can actively cancel his other orders.

That's entry-level stupid.
Per customer. Not per account. If I were the Target person I'd have asked him to verify the other 7 accounts, and then refunded each purchase and released he other 7 units back into inventory while he was there.

NHL is great. Best iteration in years.
I've been playing Rocket League since 2015. It's embarrassing that I'm still not very good at it.
