I laughed at the ridiculousness of it.

I swear there was a similar game that came out a few years ago. Similar concept, you basically had to learn all the traps and be able to anticipate them. That's a hilarious watch though.

I think I'm just getting old but those types of hard games just don't appeal to me. I would get frustrated and turn it off within 5 minutes.

Watching some Sea of Thieves videos - evidently, it's a Microsoft Studios title that will be cross platform with Xbox One and Windows 10. Your progression is shared across both platforms, and if you buy it for PC, you get a license for PC and vice versa.

It looks pretty cool, but there is some skepticism about the depth and amount of progression. But it looks like a lot of fun with friends and a few beers.

Also, you can vote to put annoying crewmates in the brig.

Finally won a game of fortnite

Finished COD WW2 last night. Meh. They way overplayed the set-piece hand, to the point the visuals became somewhat tiring after a while. And Jesus P Crikey, some of the fights on Veteran difficulty were just absurdly hard. I mean, I get it.... that's the point. But there were maybe half a dozen battles where it seemed like I got myself caught in the open right after a bullet hit, and boom checkpoint! So I would respawn, and almost immediately die again.

Can't we just do away with all exclusivity?

In regards to the EA rumor, I just don't see that happening. Though, if Microsoft is looking to kill Sony's gaming division, denying their customers Madden/Fifa would be a hell of a blow. No way that happens. IF Microsoft does somehow acquire EA, my guess would be they would have a few exclusives but still give Sony the big names (Madden, Fifa, Battlefield, etc.)

Without even reading the article my immediate thought was anti-trust. EA is too big. The idea of shutting out Playstation, Nintendo, Steam, iOS, and Android would really have to weigh heavily on a regulator.

Do you have any idea how expensive an acquisition would have to be to make it worthwhile to EA? I have it on good authority that 3P pubs take home more net revenue on PS than on XBONE, so there would need to be some substantial artificial sweetener added to what is already close to a $40 billion pot.

Exclusives only drive sales if there are a lot of them, and they're very good. I don't know how many people are going to be motivated to go out and buy an XBONE just so they can play FIFA or Madden or Titanfall. I'd be willing to wager that a large number of people who would even consider a platform switch for an exclusive don't need to switch, because they've already got both. Also, exclusives are stupid.

Also something to bear in mind: The whole EA Sports portfolio, SW Battlefront, the cars in NFS..... all licensed. How excited do you think those licensees are going to be about the prospect of potentially losing half their revenue?
