And now for the inevitable followup...
Video Games
A playable preview of Microsoft Flight Simulator it out, and the YouTube videos are coming in. Here's Airforceproud95 landing a 747-8 at JFK. Warning: a few swear words.
Hot damn, this looks amazing. Although they definitely need to work on the wonky ground vehicles. If you look to the right side of the screen when the fuel truck is barrel rolling, you can also see cars on the highway launching into orbit.
This is a very dangerous game, because I could easily see myself spending thousands on dollars on a realistic panel/control setup.

I’m a little worried about that myself. Granted, I’m waiting for it to be released on Xbox...This is a very dangerous game, because I could easily see myself spending thousands on dollars on a realistic panel/control setup.

I guess technically it's his first two landings.A playable preview of Microsoft Flight Simulator it out, and the YouTube videos are coming in. Here's Airforceproud95 landing a 747-8 at JFK. Warning: a few swear words.

His channel is so much fun.

Also, if you're playing online they apparently ping satellite imagery sort of in real time. I watched a video a couple days ago and a guy was flying around his hometown (British Columbia, iirc) and he was pointing out "That's a Tim Horton's; that's a McDonald's; that's my house."

I think I mentioned that a while back when talking about the game. They’re utilizing the cloud to provide real-time data as you fly.

Morgan Webb. That takes me back. That other person on the show drove me crazy and it should have just been her.
Video Games
Wow, haven't thought about her in a while.
I remember coming home from work at Eat 'N Park late at night and she'd be on one of her shows.

Welp.

I’d rather a delay than releasing an unfinished mess of a game. This won’t be good for the Series X launch though.

I see no reason to jump on either new console this year. Wait a year, manufacturing and software kinks will get worked out, prices should drop a bit. And of course more games that will take advantage of the new OS and CPU/GPU. Because for this first year, studios will still crank out previous gen editions of both games, stretching development teams thin during this prolonged work from home scenario because of COVID-19.

The only reason I upgraded to PS4Slim/4Pro consoles was because I could get them for super cheap employee discount prices. (I think my 4Slims were $125 ea, and the 4Pro was $200-ish.) I probably won't upgrade to the 5-spec until at least a couple years into the life cycle. Honestly, I think my decision will be informed in no small part by the new Naughty Dog IP; that's how highly I regard them as a developer. (No, the new Crash Bandicoot title does not check that box lol)

unless there was a massive deal, i am holding steady with my ps4 pro.

The main driver for me wanting a PS5 is Horizon Forbidden West, but that won't be out till maybe 2021 so there is theoretically no rush...
Last I had seen, Godfall was the only known launch title that looked like something I want to play.
Supposedly ps4 games will run better on ps5 though ( no/limited load times) which is intriguing if so, but there is still a lot up in the air around that support.

Godfall looked really meh to me when I last saw an update on it. The story inspirations were interesting, but it just looks like it'd get super repetitive and be cast aside for literally anything else

Recently finished up my playthrough of the Yakuza series. What a wacky, fun, and very Japanese experience that turned out to be. Goro Majima is one of all time favorite characters now.
The spinoff game Judgment was very good as well. It was weird playing a different game in the same world, but it was a nicw change of pace.
I'm so used to Japanese audio with subtitles now that I am going with that for Ghost of Tsushima.

Admittedly, I still have to look into that more, I just saw the trailer from the first state of play. Speaks to being underwhelmed by the launch titles.Godfall looked really meh to me when I last saw an update on it. There are a number of games I was intrigued by though overall.

Playstation has had the better exclusives this generation... IMO at least. Though I wish they would do away with those and make the same games for all the systems, but $$$$$$ rules all.I wish they made that game for Xbox.THis is another game I want to try, but my backlog is sooooo huge right now.Ordered Ghost of Tsushima and it delivered today. I watched a video explaining the combat system... seems like something I am quite used to with the amount of time I've sunk into games like Diablo 3 and Grim Dawn. Definitely need to see more though... if it is just a series of "follow this linear path and fight 3 enemies, then continue and fight 3 more".. yeah that would suck.Admittedly, I still have to look into that more, I just saw the trailer from the first state of play. I am kind of used to some level or repetition in ARPGs though so not an instant turn off for me.

I'm not super far into it, but it seems pretty damn cool so far. It is definitely giving my ps4 a workout though... the fan sounds like a jet preparing for takeoff most of the time.Ordered Ghost of Tsushima and it delivered today. Looking forward to giving it a shot.

Sucker Punch is a first-party studio, there's no way GOT was ever coming out on anything other than PlayStation.
