I can spot N64 repros pretty easily as long as the photos are decent. That seems to be an issue with the majority of ebay listings, though.Source of the post Repros are pretty easy to pick out these days but without seeing the board can't be 100%.

Will do. The Odyssey 300 is in box, and even has the power cord (it was an add-on back then as it ran on batteries). It's a Pong clone. The Odyssey 2 is a neat 2600-ish era console, that has a membrane keyboard built into it.
I was just poking around in the crates looking for the power glove. Didn't find it yet but I did find the Dreamcast. I packed it neatly back in its box, along with a controller still in the box about 15 years ago. Pretty cool. I think I need to 'test it' and play some Daytona USA.

Dreamcast is so underrated. I loved that system.

I liked it a lot at the time. I remember I bought it at the mall and played it every day until I got a PS2. Which is exactly what everyone that had a Dreamcast did.

I had a Dreamcast. It was way ahead of it's time. Nfl2k still amazing to this day.

Agree. Had a short lifespan. But was a great system. My buddy had one when we lived together after college. Played it all the time.Dreamcast is so underrated. I loved that system.

I said what I said.Ever play ET?Source of the post Pac-Man (which I will go to my grave as saying it was the worst 2600 game)
Had this discussion on twitter the other day with somebody. ET had poor programming, but you had a multi-level map to navigate, parts that you had to seek out, ways to re-energize your character, and a landing zone that you had to search for, all while being chased by a villain. The most frustrating part was falling into the damn pits. And yes, I'll admit there were probably thousands of times where you'd get out of a pit and immediately fall back in. But it wasn't like you were permanently stuck in there. It was a design flaw, which could have been corrected if they had more than ten weeks to program the game so it would be ready by Christmas. I know it doesn't excuse it, but knowing the story behind it makes it a little more understanding for me. Had this issue been corrected, I don't think it would have been buried (some pun intended) in the reviews like it has been over the last few decades.
Pac-Man for the 2600 was just a big stinking turd of a game. I think the reason this one sticks with me is when we finally were able to buy this game, 9 year old me was like "eh, it's ok." Like it was Pac-Man, but it wasn't the Pac-Man that was used to seeing everywhere. The only thing 2600 Pac-Man had in common with Arcade Pac-Man was that it was round and that it took place in a maze. Yes, one maze. The board never changed. You were stuck on that same maze for as long as you played the game. The animation of Pac-Man was off. He never turned according to the direction that you moved. Fruits? Nah, you're gonna get one square thing and you will like it. And then there's "the drop". If you repeatedly move up/down between the exits, the Pac-Man would literally divebomb through the maze from top to bottom. ET had six weeks to get things designed and out the door, but Pac-Man had a guy working 80 hr weeks for six months. And while I'll admit there's an obvious limitation of porting these games from the arcade to the 2600, plenty of these things were corrected when they released Ms. Pac-Man less than a year later.
When they buried all of those ET games in Alamogordo, there were also a large number of Pac-Man games there too.

I can agree with a lot of that.
I owned both games. Wish I didn't get rid of those. (Mom got rid of our Atari stuff when we got our NES).
My three favorites though were Beserk, Yars Revenge and Pitfall.

ET is a shitty game, but it's still a game that is playable although really bad. I still think Superman 64 is the worst game of all time. It is fundamentally broken in every way.

E.T. nearly killed the video game industry before it ever really began.

Atari was before my time. We had one growing up but it collected dust while the NES carried the load. I did love Spider-Man and Circus Atari though.

My first game system was an Atari 7800. The NES was already out but we were broke and the Atari was given to me by one of my Dad's friends that got orders to a new base. I still have it and the games.

The only Nintendo product I ever owned was a Game Boy.

My friends all had 2600s and 7800s and TI computers, but I ended up with a ColecoVision and a Commodore 128.
As an adult, my friends were all Xbox and Sega and Nintendo stuff. I didn't get another console until I was nearly 30 and got a PS2 (which I think I still have somewhere).

I had a 2600, NES, Genesis, PS1, N64, Dreamcast, Xbox, 360, Xbone, XSX. I still have them and last I checked they all work. I added a SNES to my collection later in life but didn't have it growing up. I was always jealous of my friend who had it and part of adulthood is buying **** you missed out on when you were a kid.

I didn't learn until a few years ago that it's taboo to say 'SNES' like a word. It should be called 'S-N-E-S'.
