Wait, any external drive? I thought it had to be some special drive that only Xbox would recognize? I have plenty of spare SSD’s, so if could just get a USB external case, that’d be a nice win.

Finished The Last of Us 2. I didn't hate it, but the 10 hour Abby part was unnecessary. I get what they were trying to do as I said before but it didn't work for me.

With that said even when Naught Dog makes a mistake in their story writing it's still better than most other games. It was a visceral violent exhausting 25 hour journey that overall I'm glad I took.

Not sure what I'm going to start next...AC Valhalla, Ghost of Tshumina (ps5 optimized), watch dogs legion or try to go back and finish RDR 2 finally.

Any external drive over 256 gb. You can play Xbox One/360 games directly from the external. Some XSX will also play off the external but they recommend those be stored on the internal. List of those here:

But most XSX optimized games will need to be on the internal drive OR the special Seagate expansion card. I load up my external with backwards compatible games and play all XSX games from the internal. When it gets full, I’ll move ones I don’t play to the external since copying is way faster than redownloading.

Titanfall 2 is so damn good. I’ve spent more time playing it today than I care to admit, and only stopped because my wrist is killing me.

TF 2 had the unfortunate luck to be released in between the annual Call of Duty game and Battlefield 1, so it didn't get the promotion and attention it should have received back then.

Outer Limits is a frigging blast. It's not for everyone, but as someone that loved Fallout and Mass Effect, this game has fulfilled a perfect niche for me.

One thing I love the most is that it brings back the hilarious dialogue options and creativity that Fallout 4 largely did away with.

Mario kart live circuit thing is fun, I don't know about the actual gameplay and building courses, but I like just driving it around the house as a remote control car.

The biggest issues I have encountered thus far are due to the limited range of the kart from the console... It does not like if you get too far away... The picture can get fuzzy/choppy.

Also sometimes the overlay of the track in game can make it hard to make certain turns.

That said, when it works it is pretty fun... It's definitely something that will work best if you have a very big open space to use for setting up the courses.

I mostly just follow it with the remote and don't even look at the screen

Titanfall 2 is the best game I have played in forever. I have had to force myself to turn it off so that I don’t spend all day and night playing.

Are you playing the single player? I've heard that's exceptional.

Right now I am, yes. I intend to play this mode while I get better, possibly until the end, and then start multiplayer since @nocera forced me to buy Game Pass Ultimate.

My daughter got a few new Switch games for Christmas, including Super Mario 3D Allstars and Luigis Mansion 3. Naturally, I've just been playing Super Mario 64 on there and having a blast doing it

I got all 120 stars when we bought it when it came out. Brought back a ton of memories. I remembered where most were, just had to look up how to get a handful.

Luigi Mansion 3 is a fun game too. I've never played 1 or 2, so it took a little time to get used to gameplay, but once I did, it was a lot of fun.

Up to 81 shrines beat, 41 side quests, and I beat 3 of the 4 divine beasts. Just have the lizard one up by the volcano. Got 100 seeds as well, and I've been upgrading my armor. That bowling game is money. Just stand behind the dude and you get a strike like 8 out of 10 times. That allowed me to open up the final fairy fountain and also by the house and totally upgrade it.

My goal is to get all 120 shrines, 76 side quests and beat the main quests. I'll stop after that probably. Still thinking about maybe doing the DLC, but we'll see.

I regret nothing. Would you even have played this game without GPU?

With the dlc, basically, if you don't absolutely LOVE Eventide Island, don't bother with it. If you really enjoy that, then it might be for you.

I apparently beat the single player campaign in Titanfall 2. I guess I move onto multiplayer now...

So true. I've done so much side stuff and powered up that fighting the 4 Gannon "blights" or whatever you wnat to call them in the Divine beast has been a piece of cake.

The only blight that gave me any trouble was the water one, and that was because I fought it fairly early on and after taking a lengthy break from the game. By the time I fought the rest Inwas significantly more powerful, and the Master Sword makes a huge difference.

The water one was a pain in the ass because I kept getting knocked off the platforms. Thunderblight Ganon (or whatever the electric one was in the desert) was annoying too. I basically just abandoned strategy and spammed attack and ate food as needed.

That’s the one game that had me seriously considering a PS5. If I had been able to snag one that day, I’d have never gotten the XSX.
