Goldeneye hasn't aged well at all. Great stuff at the time. Not really playable today IMO.
It’s the controls. Give me a Goldeneye remaster with modern FPS controls please.
Exactly. I'm amazed I was able to play it as well as I did with that terrible controller

I think there was a remaster a few years back. It was...not good.

Also, I still have my N64, Goldeneye, and a few controllers. It's 5AF meetup time boyos.

The best Goldeneye experience is playing with an emulator on a PC.

Speaking of remaster, despite having to get used to ever-changing aiming in each game, I cannot recommend Mass Effect: Legendary Edition enough. I've played it more this past week than all of my gaming combined over the last 5 years.

I freaking love Squad. So glad I am back in the PC game.
Squad can have some cmdrs that get a little too sweaty; Hell Let Loose is the WWII casual version.

You try out tarkov yet? It’s at the top of my playlist rn.

The modding and collecting weapons on this game is fantastic.

I have not, it's the next game I'm purchasing. I've been playing with some old BF guys on Squad, so it's been a good time re-living some old glory days.

Are you talking about Reloaded for 360/PS3? I always thought that was less of a remaster and more of an "inspired by."

I just realized I don't even want a remaster. I want the same exact game/graphics/everything but with modern controls.

Maybe that was it. Whatever it was, I had it for the Wii of all things and got bored very quickly.

My brother was always the jackass that would play as Oddjob so he could win every freaking time.

"We had a strict 'no Oddjob' rule" is just a tremendous sentence to read out-of-context.

Depending on what mode you were playing on, Jaws wasn't the worst option, as everyone else is pretty much at head shot level for him if you're not using auto-aim.

I mean, I assume everyone's doing pistols only with -10 health, but, ya know, whenever you weren't...

I am sad that I didn't play GoldenEye the first time around. My brother had a N64 and RAVES about it. I attempted to play it on my RetroPi a few years ago, and it was not great. Really struggled with the Xbox controller that I had for the RetroPi at the time.

Speaking of which, I spent a couple of hours configuring it, downloading ROMs (FOR GAMES I OWN), and only used it for an hour or so. I guess the Switch scratched the NES games itch, and the Apple II and other games just aren't as much fun as I remembered.

As fun as Goldeneye was, Perfect Dark was the best multiplayer game of that generation. Need to download that and get playing.

I never got the expansion pack. Still don’t have it actually. So Perfect Dark was useless to me.

Official release date for Horizon Forbidden West: Feb 18 2022

Pre-orders Sep 2.

And... A free 60 fps patch for HZD for PS5 is now live.

Definitely going to have to do another play through before HFW comes out.
