For the life of me, I can’t beat the Matriarch in Gears 5. I’ve tried dozens of times, and wind up getting ripped in half each time. Half of the time she’s frozen, I start shooting and have to **** reload in the middle of it. Just about done with this.

I bought LA Noir for XBOX when it first came out in 2011 and only played maybe a couple hours. Fast forward to 2020 and I just bought a replacement for PS4. Got some time on my hands.....

LA Noir is a really fun game. The early interrogations are stupid easy (the facial tells are sort of comically obvious), but the story is really interesting, Cole is a good character, and as the game goes on it gets more and more fun. Rewards commitment.

Just had my best game of CoD BR so far. 10 kills, 3k+ damage and 2nd place. 3 v 1 in the last circle, downed one, had another one close then got killed reloading. Absolutely dummied 3 kids with headshots right in a row then revived both teammates. Damn fun game War Zone is.

I've had my dreams of sitting down and beating some video games crushed due to animal crossing on switch invading our house. Kids loved it. It's weird.

Haha, Eddie. How old are your kids? I need to get another game for my 11 year old to play to keep him off my PC so I can work (and play games lol). I am not at all familiar with Animal Crossing, but it kind of looks like Minecraft and Stardew Valley. I watched a review it sounded like it was slow to get going, but once you gather enough materials to build stuff, it gets fun. My issue is that my kids - particularly my 11 year old - won’t want to grind that hard to get going.

Playing Luigi Mansion 3 right now. It's a fun game.
I started playing this a while back. It is fun, though occasionally the controls can be a PITA, and I have found once or twice that it was really not obvious how to deal with certain enemies.

Other than that though, it's a good game.

I've been distracted by other games of late though... Think I am at B2 iirc.

8,10, and 12 but they just lost video games and tv for the day for fighting, so I'm home free! That's a pretty good comparison. My daughter (12) who is obsessed with it says it's just a peaceful happy game (she's not wrong from what I've seen).

Anyone else playing war zone having network issues? If I try to join buddies it fails at a decent rate. Now I'm sure they couldn't have imagined the amount of people in servers so not mad, just irked

I haven't played in like 2 weeks. Just busy with other stuff, but I'm hoping to get back into it.

Agree, the controls can be PITA occasionally, and there are definitely a few baddies where you don't know what to do. But overall, I enjoyed it. Hope to jump back in soon.

Networks of all types are getting hammered. EA sent out a warning that their Origin backend was really congested with everyone home and playing vidya games. Our ISP sent out a warning about bandwidth and network congestion issues.

New Animal Crossing is dope, but sucks if people share one Switch.

When my kids got into the 3DS years ago, I was shocked that Nintendo would allow one person to own Mario Kart (and a host of other games) and let multiple people connect 3DSes to play a local race (with bluetooth!) They gradually started removing that level of access, of course.

I know for other games whichever player you select you just go into your own game....is it different with this game?

Yep. The first person to play is the primary player, and everyone after is just along for the ride.

So...you ever abuse your authority to get some controller time?

How well do you usually do in the battleback 1v1 thing?

I haven't kept a close track, but I probably win about 70% of mine. I'll probably go on a massive losing streak now that I said that.

I'd say that's roughly the clip i win at. I sit back in my half and let them come to me. Peak corners and get the shots I want. Having an Elite controller is definitely a huge help

Same, although I’m probably closer to 60% because I can’t shoot straight.
