The Handsome collection is going to be one of the free games on PS+ for June. I’m looking forward to that since I never played The Pre-Sequel. I only have the base game of Borderlands 2 on PS3, so I get a remaster of that plus all the dlcs I never had.

I believe you can import character data from Ps3 to Ps4 for Bl2 so I wouldn’t have to start over.

Sonic Mania is the other free game. It was basically a fan made game that Sega hired to make.

I am up to level 26 with the original Borderlands on my PS4. Having a blast playing it. I picked the Hunter and am mostly using a sniper and pistol. Of course an old guy like me is easily entertained.

I've been playing the 2013 reboot of Tomb Raider. It's not that bad of a game, but I hope the inventor of the quick time event spends a couple hundred years in a postmortem purgatory where he will repeatedly suffer gruesome and horrible dismemberments if he doesn't press a random button within a millionth of a second of being told to do so. They are nothing more than a cheap and lazy way to pad a game, and Tomb Raider is packed with them.

From what I've read so far, it looks like it's PC-console, but not console-console. And PlayStation will get new content first.

Also, the new game engine looks super good. Photogrammetry ftw.

So are they remaking the original Modern Warfare or is this going to be a rewriting of the story with the same characters?

Looks more like the latter. From what I've read, it seems like the campaign will be akin to a game that Konami was developing 10 years ago (Six Days In Fallujah, I've talked about it here before); they abandoned it $10 million in, the month it was to go to Gold Master Candidate because someone said some bad things about it in Britain. Seems like there will be a lot of moral choices players will be faced with, "is that a civilian or a combatant" kind of stuff.

I don't even know if this should go in the IT thread or not, but I finally upgraded to a 1440p 144hz monitor.

I mostly play Battlefield V, so I figured I would have to run it in 1080p until I get a new GPU later this summer (AMD should have a new lineup announced soon, and Nvidia will counter with upgraded versions of current RTX cards).

But wow, my four year old R9 390 still gets 90-100FPS at that resolution...and oh boy, it's so smooth. If you are looking for a cheap second hand GPU, I think that 390 is still a great value and can run most newer games really well.

Can't wait until I get a card (2060? or AMD equivalent) that actually hit 144FPS to make use of that refresh rate.

Xbox Ultimate Game Pass is now just $1. It says it's the first month, however, it'll add game pass to your Live account for as long as your current subscription is. For example, my Live account was set to renew on 5/17/2020. I added game pass for $1 and now I have an Ultimate account with Game Pass until the same date at no additional charge (other than $1.07). A lot of people are re-upping their live for three years, then adding the $1 deal, and they now have game pass until 2022. It's a hell of a deal. Jump on it ASAP. Just be sure to set your auto-renew to off if you don't plan on continuing with game pass after the deal expires.

Just an fyi, The new dlc for BL2 is available for free, but only until July 9. Even if you don't play it, claim it now so you will have it.

I get a kick out of how they hype the realism, and then produce a trailer full of clips of pilots doing things that would get them arrested if they did it for real. lol

Not that I didn't do that stuff when I was simming regularly. Who among us has not landed on the Golden Gate Bridge, or found their house and did a 100' flyby?

That looks beautiful, but I'm more interested in how the game implements ATC. For example, if I "create my flight plan," for say, a flight from Fernandina Beach to Miami, will I get an IFR clearance like this: “TBM Mike-Golf-Sierra-One-Four, Cleared to the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport via direct Orman Beach, then as filed, climb and maintain one-four thousand, expect two-eight-zero ten minutes after departure, departure frequency 125.2, squawk 2612”? (ATC example taken from a recent steveo1kinevo video.)

As much as I hope this game is good, having watched 22 movies with these EXACT SAME CHARACTERS WHO ALL PRETTY MUCH LOOK EXACTLY THE **** SAME, the voices being different is so off-putting that I'm not sure I could make it through the game. Regardless, it seems like a cheap knockoff of the MCU.
