Also, it's $20 a year for individual subscription which is access to a decent selection of nes games. 3 new ones release every month. You get all game saves in cloud storage to access on any switch and access to special deals like this controllers. Snes is supposedly coming soon. Seems like a no brainer. Id rather do that than spend $3-5 on each game

Lie about their age.

Do you have to purchase each individual NES game?

Nope, $20 for the year gives you access to everything which is so much better.

yeah, i think I'll pull the trigger today and order those classic remotes. I'm a little hesitant about the remotes because apparently they only work for online classic games. I'm trying to weigh if it's worth spending $60 for those or just getting another set of joy cons which I can use for everything. But those controllers.

Yeah, I signed up when the Switch came in the other day. I got the family plan, because I didn't want the kids locked out of the online games. I haven't made their profiles yet, as I didn't want them alerted via email about the Switch's impending arrival.

I tested it by playing some Excitebike. It was great, and it "felt" better than playing on an emulator. Probably all in my head, but still. I missed a Nintendo console.

Just doing our part in helping the economy this Christmas season. I missed a sale on Mario Odyssey for $33 yesterday. Probably a good thing, but man do I want to play that game.

didn't think he was notable enough to be in the RIP thread, but for those who remember how records arcade scores were kept, he might be a familiar name.
When Joel West died quietly in his Lincolnton home in November, there were no breaking-news alerts.

In the week that followed, there was no obituary in the Lincoln Times-News. No funeral. No memorial. No wake, viewing or visitation.

West’s passing at the age of 58, in fact, was about to go almost completely unnoticed by the general public. Until... eight days later, a man named Walter Day called up the Observer and said something like: Hey, you probably don’t know it, but a legend died recently in Lincolnton, and he deserves a story.

Upon taking the bait, you realize that West really is a legend. He’s just not necessarily the type of legend you ever would have heard of — unless you were at a particular age in the early 1980s, had a particular proclivity for staring at pixels, and whiled away hours at a time in video-game arcades.

The retro NES controllers for the switch are awesome. Sure it's a bummer they don't work with other games besides the ones online selection, but it doesn't matter. I couldn't imagine playing with out these. Oh man, the nostalgia.

Is $30 worth it for the Sega classic collection?

So I got about 3 or so uninterrupted hours with Witcher 3 yesterday. First impression...this game is amazing. The atmosphere, story, dialogue options, combat tactics (even though I suck to this point), and game play mechanics all work together to suck you into the world. Everything to this point has been a bit overwhelming, but I'm hooked. As with any of these open world rpgs I always worry that I'm going to miss something, so I'll definitely be taking my time in White Orchard.

So psyched!

I'm envious that you are just starting that game. One of my Top 5 of all time.

I got RDR2 for Christmas, can't wait to start it tonight.

Got hooked on Columns and Dr Mario. I don't remember Dr Mario being so difficult. Got sucked into columns for about 2 hours before I realized what was happening

Same here, just past chapter 1 and already have a bad rep because I happen to enjoy horse collisions.

My NHL career got started with a bang when I racked up 8 tripping minors in 2 games during the memorial cup. Game 3 I am forced to fight Gregor Clegane and get pummeled and injured for the final 55 minutes.

Won a Fortnite solo last night by chilling until the top 5 then one pumped the last 3 guys with the new shotgun. Thing is op.
