There are Russian women in BF1, and the older COD. Evidently, Medal of Honor for the original Playstation had a female soldier on the cover. It's just how divisive everything is now, stemming from the political climate here and abroad.

And yes, no one complains about the mechanics of these games themselves - the instant magic syringe that revives you from a headshot, or the magic boxes that magically heal or rearm you. That's OK, but having a woman character is the end of the world.

Like I said, it's predictable and sad.

The argument was that the woman in BF1 was actually a Russian sniper. I don't care, it's a video game. I do wish they wouldn't say historic, and then introduce unrealistic situations.

BF1 itself was far from historically accurate - considering half of the guns were prototypes or never even made it to the actual battlefield. People are just going to be mad.

While I'm against painting WWII as an "equal opportunity war", judging by the reveal trailer, it's clear this is a very fictionalized version of WWII. So whatever.

The people complaining are just bitter and like to complain.

Won the only game of Fortnite I played last night. Dropped into a Gold only game mode solo with a fill squad. Three of us drop in at the shipping area and one person gets killed right away. I was a half second late to reviving him. The solo that dropped on the opposite side of the map died shortly after. Had a no skin follow me around for most of the game. Caught a guy in a 1x1 healing and took him out. The no skin ran off and died, so I shot a rocket at that guy, downed him then finished him off. I'm solo and there are about 8-10 people left, I hide off behind a tree to let themselves work it out. Shortly before the storm starts pushing I flank in behind a guy, tag him with a Deagle, then clean him up with a shotgun blast. Now I am looking at a 1v1v1 in the divot one guy is off to my NW in a structure, the other is to my NE but is above me on a cliff so he has no line of sight. I line up the guy in the divot for a snipe, head shot he's dead. Before my bullet lands he sends off a rocket at the other player to my NE. That rocket hits, destroys the base, and the player falls to his death.

I'd probably offer him $1200 if you really wanted that build, if not, build your own and wait till stuff goes on sale.

Those are the prices he must have paid at the time of build. I was thinking about offering $1250. Sounds like I might be best to do as you say buy parts that go on sale then have my buddy help me build it.

It's not hard to build a PC at all, it's just a giant puzzle you have to be careful with. While I don't doubt the prices of what he paid for it, even offering to take $500 off when the video card is already $200 cheaper than what he listed, you'd get under that $500 threshold quickly.

It has been listed for about a month so I should be able to talk him down. Especially since I have no use for the wireless adapter, I'll be connecting right to my router like a normal human.

Why can't my kids be normal and play on console?

There weren't any images/video included so I would absolutely want to see it in operation before agreeing to a sale. The reviews on that monitor say it can have some serious issues, however I have used lower end AOC monitors for three years at work and they have been great.

Question about higher refresh rate monitors: are there any benefits to using one if your framerates rarely get close to the top end of the refresh rate?

Most of the games we play I aim for 60fps. Some average higher than that, but nothing close to 144 or whatever the top end monitors' refresh rate. Is it worth buying?
