Why is it so hard to make a decent Star Wars game? Just remaster Shadows of the Empire and call it a day.

:fist: So much this. I will never not play this game. At least once a year, I break it out.

Lucasfilm, unhappy with the way EA has micro-transactioned the everloving s**t out of their IP, is apparently shopping the Star Wars license to Ubisoft and Activision.
Unfortunately the thing is neither of those companies are any better. Ubisoft hasn't delivered on a big game series in a long time, imo.

They should give it to several. Let one studio make FPS's, and another make RPG's, etc.

I'd love another open world Star Wars.

Activision has never turned to microtransactions. Just ask COD players. Or the fact that they made over $4 billion in microtransactions in 2017.

The most recent releases from Ubi - Watch Dogs 2 and Assassin's Creed Origins - were both pretty well received. I'm only about two hours into WD2, and so far it is much better than the first one.

Put yourself in Lucasfilm's shoes for a minute.... there are only so many AAA publishers out there.

Since battle royale games are all the rage, give me a PUBG-style Star Wars game.

Watch Dogs 2 was not worth the money. Bought it, beat it, was lame.

Assassin's Creed is meh.

/personal opinion

The division was a major fail when it released too :(

Assassin's Creed origins is very very good. Best AC game in a long time. The year off helped.

Been thinking about getting ACO, so I appreciate the recco. Since the Ezio trilogy, the only one I've liked was Black Flag, because who doesn't love pirates singing shanties.

I played the original Assassin's Creed, and got bored fast because I thought it was repetitive.

Re: Ubisoft and Activision, they are some of the biggest offenders of microtransactions too I thought. I used to enjoy Call of Duty, and I hate that the entire game is about getting chests now.

This is a serious throwback, but for any fans of the Half Life series, this remains probably my favorite VG comic to date. Hard to believe it's been out on the web for over 12 years.

In pubg, especially late in the game, the care packages can be the difference between winning and losing. With about 20 people left I got a ghillie suit, m24 rifle, and 8x scope. I made it to the top 3, and if I had a flash hider on my m416 I probably would have won.

I really don’t like paying full price for games, but I'm having a hard time resisting buying Sea of Thieves.

Won't you need to buy multiple copies?

Nope, setting the Xbox as my home Xbox and sharing gold means I only have to buy one copy, and one live sub.

I have enjoyed the time I have put into Kingdom Come Deliverance. It is exactly the type of game I always wanted.

Watch_Dogs 2 is much better than WD1. There's a strip club (right were there are a bunch of strip clubs in real life SF), and if you go in and try to take a selfie with a dancer she gets mad and leaves the club, topless. Har har

Is anyone playing Elite Dangerous? It’s a space flight sim type game with a 1:1 open Milky Way galaxy. It’s been out for about 3 years. The human “bubble” of 20k settlements and stations is around 250 light years in diameter with our sun “sol” as the center. In comparison the Milky Way is 100k in diameter.
About a year ago people began to make first contact with aliens beyond the bubble, and now these aliens are beginning to attack settlements near the edge.
So far in the game I’ve just been grinding cargo runs to make in-game money.

About half way through Earthbound. Really enjoying it. I'm going to go through an RPG kick and knock off some games I've been wanting to for a while:

Earthbound
Final Fantasy (original NES)
Final Fantasy III (Super NES)
Secret of Mana (Super NES)

Then I'll play Zelda Skyward Sword. Been sitting on my shelf for like 4 years now.

Years behind on this, but I'm really enjoying GTA V. IMO it's a superior game to GTA IV in just about every way. I particularly enjoy the return of aircraft; I can easily spend an hour or two just flying around the map in order to check off more entries in the "fly under every bridge" achievement. I like all three of the main characters (even Trevor) better than I liked Niko Bellic from GTA IV.

I own Elite Dangerous but haven't yet played it. I'd probably stick to the single-player mode. I've come to dislike multiplayer games.

Couldn't agree more. Also in terms of geography, the West Coast is the best coast. I found the diverse geography in their version of LA so much more interesting than the dingy Liberty City. It is so fun tooling around the "Hollywood Hills" area, or taking a dirt bike to the top of Mount whatever it's called.
