I'm thinking about putting one of my PS3's in the bedroom so I can play Fallout 3 more often. This is normal behavior, right?

My wife hates going to bed by herself so this would be a compromise. She falls asleep in about 10 minutes, before 10pm. I don't fall asleep until after midnight. I figure this way I could play for 45 minutes to an hour more per day than if I only play in the living room.

Genius, right?

It's your fault. You sold me that big TV for my garage and she stole it and put it into the bedroom. I wouldn't do this with the old 32".

The Mario/Nintendo chest has arrived and its pretty glorious...pretty good shape for probably 35 years old. Had a big smile on my face when I pulled it out of the packing box. Spoiler'd the pics cause they are huge.

When I was a kid it was filled with Nintendo powers, controllers and wrestling figures pretty much. I don't have as many nintendo powers, but I have a bunch of spare controllers (like probably 15 or so from various systems laying around), so will probably be filled with very similar things.

on the inside...like 35 year old pressed wood haha. In all seriousness it didn't really smell like anything. Wherever it was kept it was kept in a climate controlled area for the most part at least recently.

Yeah I’m talking about the pressed wood smell. Every time I open mine, it’s the smell that gets me nostalgic. Especially since mine is no longer filled with WWF hasbros.

Holy ****, I had that chest full of Nintendo powers too. Getting some weird flashbacks this morning. Thanks, that's awesome

Welp, I finally had enough, so I uninstalled Halo Infinite. Every time 343 releases an update, the experience gets worse. The game hasn't been fun for a while, but I just couldn't take it any more. Now I need to find something else to get into.

I’ve been playing Gray Zone Warfare. It entered early access this week. It’s kind of a cross between tarkov, and hell let loose.
Very fun to team up with randos over voip and get all tactical.
There are both strictly pve & pvevp servers

I have Game Pass Ultimate, so ideally I need a title accessible there on my Xbox Series X. I think I'm done paying for games unless we get a new Mass Effect or Gears.

Are the old Battlefront games on Game Pass? Or even the newer one?

Not sure, but I couldn't get into 2042 or whatever. The gameplay was awful. I honestly don't even know what kind of game to look at, and may pivot away from FPS games for now.

Looking for another shooter? Multiplayer-wise, there isn't much on game pass that I dug. The Battlefield games are there, but I could never get into those. PUBG is free to play but is full of sweats and has a extremely high learning curve. I did really enjoy the Doom Eternal campaign. That's worth a look.

If you're looking for something tactical/mil-sim like VLB posted, check out Hell Let Loose.

Honestly, I’m not sure what I want. Maybe something aling the lines of exploration. Maybe I’ll give Starfield another shot.

I'd give it a week or two before you try Starfield again. Yuge update is in beta on Steam right now. Lot of new features coming.

Rocket League is F2P and still super fun. I’ve been playing The Show 24. It’s not bad. I can’t seem to make the damn show though. NHL 24 was just added to game pass if you want to torture yourself. I played the **** out of Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare. Surprisingly it’s a really good multiplayer third person shooter. I didn’t get into the sequels but the og game is still populated.

Single player wise, the Tomb Raider games are really good and on game pass.

I finally went back and got the final 2 trophies I needed for Spiderman 2 after a few months. The ability to replay missions made the trophies I was missing much easier.

I really should have got the during general play but didn't pay attention to the trophies until I realized the platinum was doable.
