It's from the same company that made the Souls games...so prepare to die alot. I could never get into games that are that difficult, but there certainly is a segment that likes them.

I have died a lot, I don't mind that, but I'm finding you lose all your items when you die. Not sure how long I'll be able to keep this up.

I couldn't even get into Halo. I think my days are numbered with more advanced video games. Give me Mario and Zelda (Majora's mask came out today, that's the one Zelda game I haven't played, so let's go)

Horizon Forbidden West is so damn good. I love just exploring the world and getting into machine hunting shenanigans. The story is really good so far, not that I am surprised.

Yes. I tend to explore the area around the next story mission quite a bit before committing to the next quest. Not because the story missions aren't fun, but you often have to commit to a decent chunk of time for those... and exploring, killing machines, etc is super fun on its own.

I do the same. I've done more side quests and errands than main story missions so far.

Been playing ELEX for the last couple weeks. This is an open-world RPG from developer Piranha Bytes (Gothic, Risen) with a post-apocalyptic setting. Like all Piranha Bytes RPGs, there's no level scaling for enemies, so you spend the early parts of the game running away a lot and getting one-shotted by enemies that you'll be one-shotting yourself by the end of the game. I've played other games in the Gothic and Risen series, so this isn't new to me. The world is pretty huge, the setting is interesting, and there's an interest mix of weapons and armor. The only downsides so far are the fact that there are three main factions in the game, and you basically have to join one of of them, but I don't much care for any of them.

I'm about 70% of the way through the Far Cry 6 campaign, and I think I'm gonna bail. It's just so stupid...... the last mission I played was a castle defense thing (which I hate) where the MC had to wear a crocodile mask while fighting bad guys. And before that I had to sneak into an air defense bunker and hack a computer, but because the game let me take out the air defense battery like 15 game hours earlier, there were a grand total of 2 bad guys at the base. So sneak-in-sneak-out wasn't exactly a challenge.

2, 3, 4, and 5 were all excellent games. They had weak points in storytelling, but overall they we're enjoyable games with compelling bad guys and tough AI. 6 has been an exercise is silly, and that's mostly on my part for sticking with it so long.

Elden ring is terrific. Hard as ****, but I've been grinding and leveling up which has made things more enjoyable

Wow good job. I’ve played every Souls game and Margit is without question the hardest “first” boss they have made.

Got an Oculus today. Pretty fun - played my buddy in ping pong for about an hour and broke a nice sweat lol

I have one but I only use it for a racing simulator. How are the actual games for it?

Ping pong was a ton of fun. My buddy said the golf game and beat saber are awesome. I was going to check out one of them next.

I snagged one over this past weekend and downloaded the golf game. It's pretty legit. There a good mix of things to do on there between mini golf, matches, and driving range.
