I read a book a few years back (set in late 80s I think), were some small faction of Third Reich loyalists had isolated themselves somewhere in the mountains of Switzerland, and Hitler had been secreted away there since 1945. Love alternative history stuff.

That being said, I've never found reason to fully accept the theory that Hitler died in that bunker.

I think it highly unlikely that he got out of Berlin. However I haven't ever completely bought into him killing himself. I think it's very possible that someone did the job for him.

I have no doubt that he offed himself. Seems apt for someone like him.
