KERS that can be saved for multiple laps (like if you're trailing in somebody's aero disturbance is nice). RPM increase, thank God.
I suppose elimination of the MGU-H will free up the exhaust to get the volume increase.

Turbos are inherently quieter, but the MGU-H is actually inside the turbo itself. Every little bit helps, I guess.

It's just remarkable to me how F1 for the past 15-20 years has so consistently stubbed its own toes over the tech rules.

I get why they carried a spare and tools back then, but by today's standard that looks remarkable.

Ferrari threatens to quit F1 over 'Global NASCAR' vision

There have been a lot of instances in my 35+ years following F1 where being a Ferrari fan has been difficult to rationalize. It has been a while since they've rattled this particular saber, so I'd sorta forgotten about it being a facepalm tactic. At this stage, I'm like "Let them go".

I thought they were thinking of 'veto'ing the new 2021 engine.

I've seen that photo before, but I can't remember anything useful about it. Expression on the guy's face is priceless, has a very Mr Bean quality.

Bugatti driver Raymond Mays at the Shelsley Walsh mountain race in Wales in 1924.
So, yeah, if you were thinking "Hey, that's Wales!" you were correct.

What a way to wrap up the NHRA season yesterday. From a barely qualifying spot of 15 out of 16 funny cars, Robert Hight came back to win the season finals in Funny Car Top Fuel. His California Highway Patrol race shell suffered only minor damage when the blower went Boom(!) in qualifying. Courtney Force unveiled the Taylor Swift reputation race body that got tons of fan attention. Sister Brittany become the second female racer to win the season finals in Top Fuel in her Monster Dragster. John Force Racing is a quality product.

I had picked Antron Brown early in the season to win it all, but he fell short before helping Brittany win it by taking out points leader Steve Torrence in their race.

The sport said Goodbye to Funny Car driver Alexis Dejoria and Pro Stock driver Allen Johnson. Both retiring from the race circuit.

We went with a couple nitro newbies. The look on their faces when Top Fuel cars go full throttle, side-by-side down the track was entertaining. Go once, you are hooked for life.

February is just around the corner... Winter Nationals, here we come!

Took many pictures of it. Her and Robert Hight were next to each other, so John was bouncing back and forth between the two pit areas. Got pictures of both car bodies. Also took pictures of John, Courtney and Robert. They are a very friendly group to talk with.

So there's a plan coming to get rid of grid penalties in F1. Honda has been hit with 380 grid spot penalties this year.... the entire calendar only has 420 grid slots.

Also, TIL that the last race win of Felipe Massa's career was the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix, where he was World Champion for 40 seconds.

From what?

Her sponsors fired her a while ago, and she was never racing.

Saw this on Autoblog. A literal "pile up" during a qualifying race for the FIA GT World Cup race at Macau.
