I'm just thankful that you didn't note that after 4 moves of house the side mirrors on the McLaren have been knocked off.

So it's Kimi to retirement, Bottas to Alfa, and Russell to Mercedes. I wonder if he will while less than Hamilton. It was painful to listen to Hamilton dodint for like 20 laps about the team's decision to change tires "too early."

WTF, rumor has Andretti purchasing Sauber aka Alfa Romeo with help from Gainbridge.

Bottas was beige. Russell is an upstart. We're clearly on the back 9 of Lewis Carl Hamilton's career, so it will be something to watch that dynamic.

I don't quite know what I'm looking at here, but it's glorious.

If you're Senna contesting a world title, at Suzuka T1 L1 you spend 0% of the time on the brakes and add 3° of right steering lock. Yikes.

Peter Windsor once did a similar breakdown of different drivers' approach to braking and turning in to Les Combes. I think that one was Schumi and Häkkinen, so it was a while ago. Fascinating stuff.

I've tried to teach my brain to race with two feet and I can't do it. I know it's faster but in a three-pedal setup it's tough and on the street it's so easy to forget and lapse back into right foot braking. I hope someday I can race something regularly that doesn't have a foot clutch. Maybe the Gen 4 Spec Racer Ford, perhaps.

Wait, there's already working on Gen4? Gen 1 was 5 years with Renault, Gen 2 was 13 years, and now Gen 3 is only 8 years old.

Yup. It has really dulled my enthusiasm for them since SRF3 is already $30k. The transmission is one of the big upgrades, too.

So, thoughts about Jedah?
I gotta say Max or RB certainly seem to have a braking package figured out. All things being equal he is consistently later on the brakes (and he's over 50% at still making the corner)

The circuit is bananas.

Max was driving like he was the one with the points deficit. He has matured a lot from his "crash musthappen" days, but it felt like he regressed a bit this weekend.

It does feel like he's pushing more than HAM this last month.
Is there any reason to believe the #2's will actually matter in finale?

Didn't care for the circuit at all. Pretty narrow and lined with walls. Two red flags speaks for itself.

Agree with tifosi that that Max was out there on the edge. Next race might be the most interesting F1 race in many years.

A group of my Pittsburgh racing friends want to find a bar to watch it in.

At 8am. On a Sunday.

There was a restaurant in Huntingdon Beach called Speedway Cafe or something like that. Memorabilia all over the place, an 80s Indycar or F1 machine suspended from the ceiling. They'd open at 3:30am for the European rounds. Dan Gurney and Mario Andretti were known to show up on occasion.
